This product is a replacement for one I've had for about 5 years and I dropped it and broke the last one. I've had the wood color one and the black colored one before both work equally as great. I wanted to get the white one just as a change and it won't show hard water spots as my home water supply is very hard out here in the West. Although, this brush is not silver tip badger but the quality and how well it works for the price can't be beat and I'm very happy with this purchase. I like the fact that the brush is a little stiffer and that helps make thick lather and white brush looks great as well. No complains and a great price!

First, I want to say that "Pop!Shop" did an awesome job, with amazon, in taking my order and processing it!I ordered on August 5th and it was delivered on August 8th. By the way, for those of you who prefer receiving an order at your post office box mailing address, rather than at home or the office, they DO ship to a post office mailing address!Ok... My review. I am as blunt and outspoken as the Republican candidate seeking the nomination, if you saw the first GOP debate. The 'Perfecto' shaving brush is just as my headline states, "perfection."As soon as I opened the box containing both the shaving brush and the Perfecto chrome shaving stand I knew that I received high quality products. Best of all, both were reasonably priced. If you have read any of my other reviews, "You get what you pay for." most of the time and Perfecto along with 'Pop!Shop' and Amazon delivered just what I paid for, good quality products and at a good price.The shaving brush, in my opinion, is REAL badger hair or some other animal hair. Personally, I have never petted a badger! However, the hair (bristles) are very soft. My wife saw me open the box and asked if she could use it to apply make-up. I think another reviewer said they use it for the same purpose. Anyway, I told my wife she would need to get her own.We all come to Amazon for research before purchasing a product, whether it is through Amazon or elsewhere. I can tell you that the shaving brush is what I recall from my first experience wet shaving when my father gave me my first razor, shaving brush and shaving bowl. Perfecto has brought back what went by the way side as our society became oriented to "throw away" consumer goods, as I was one of those consumers caught up in the hype of cartridge type razors, etc.. Chalk that up to a tight class schedule in college!!!!Another reviewer wrote that they experienced some "shedding" when they first used the brush. I also experienced the same. However, the shedding I observed from the brush was maybe 3 or 4 hairs (bristles), a combination found in the sink, my face and my beautiful BALD head. I would think that this is to be expected the first few times using the brush, as someone stated in another review it is the "break-in" period.I wrote a review about another shaving brush included in a kit I bought at one of the popular brick and mortar discount stores. (I had decided that I wanted to return to my "roots" as a kid growing up when I was truly wet shaving.) The brush that was included in the kit was no where near the quality of the Perfecto shaving brush. The bristles (hair) were coarse, very stiff, especially, compared to the Perfecto shaving brush. The brush lost a lot of bristles, continuously, from the first day of use. Sometimes there were "clumps" of bristles in the sink. It was that bad! That brush now thrown away lasted a year.I think that I will get several good years of use from the Perfecto shaving brush. In my opinion it is really that good. By the way, just because a product may be the "Number 1 Seller" does not always mean it is the best value. You should consider all aspects of a product and not just the selling price.Anyway, like all good things, as good as the Perfecto shaving brush is, it will eventually wear out. Here's a tip to extend the life of any shaving brush. When rinsing the soap from a brush, use cold or maybe lukewarm water. Hold the brush in the palm of your hand. Rinse the brush on one side. Then lift the brush, turn it slightly and again rest the brush in the palm of your hand and rinse. Do this until the brush has been completely rotated and rinsed.After rinsing the brush, holding the brush handle with the hair (bristles) pointed down in the sink just shake (flicker) the brush lightly from side to side to remove the bulk of the water. Then place the brush in a holder, hanging upside down from the handle. This will allow the brush to properly "air dry" without distorting the brush's hair.Buy it! You will love it! I actually look forward to shaving again!!

It easily lathers with both creams and soaps. The black handle is comfortable and feels solid in the hand. Highly recommended if you're looking for a quality brush without breaking the bank, whether using a safety razor, straight razor, or cartridge razor.

I’ve had this for about six months, shaving about three times every week. Feels good on my face. You should consider getting this and switching to straight razor shaving.

So, I have had this brush for a little over a year now, and I have put it through a lot.First of all, the design is just what I wanted. The brush fits comfortably in my hands, is sleek, lightweight, and the base looks shiny. It’s very good quality, with no scratches or fading on the base.If you’re worried about the smell, there was none when I first unboxed it. Now, it smells like my shaving soap!So far, it’s been all positives, but there is one small little thing I feel I have to note. When you first start using the brush you WILL see some hairs fall out. That may seem scary, but trust me when I say my brush is still luscious and is full of hair. I think it’s just natural for a brush with hair bristles to shed a few hairs. If you’re concerned, I would estimate maybe 30 hairs have fallen out. It’s been around a year and 2 months since I bought it, and I have used it biweekly since then. My point is there are probably a couple hundred hairs on this brush, and the initial shedding of around 2-3 hairs falling out per shave should be of no concern to new buyers.My final verdict is this product is definitely worth buying for those looking for a top notch shaving brush!

I’ve had this same brush for 7 years now. Very rarely will it lose a hair. It’s literally as good as it was the day I received it. I shave any average of 3 or 4 times per week, and it has performed flawlessly. Literally it could not be any better. This picture is after 7 years of use.

Decent brush, sheds quite a bit though. I find little brush hairs after my shave more often than not. It also smells a little odd, but I don’t think that’s an issue.
