Wow -- this is a high quality hose. It's not too heavy, so maneuverability is pretty good. The lead-free brass couplings are substantial and are easy to use.Best of all, I don't have to concern myself with water quality using this hose. I've had no issues with it so far. I went ahead and ordered despite some of the poor reviews, and I'm glad I did.

We have been keeping a large herd of horses in a corral without a winter watering system. This was not meant to be a long term situation, but for this winter it has become that. To get water to the horses we have run a long length of hose from our house well system. We thought we had a decent strong hose for this, but we were wrong. Our trials with that old hose got us looking to our trusty Amazon site for info, reviews and hopefully a purchase. We initally bought 100 ft of this hose to test it out, and recently bought 175 feet more because we love it so much. It has been serving us well through -27 degree C weather, we have a system for draining the hose inbetween uses and it seems as good as new. This hose does not kink, this is crucial for us, the brass fittings are impressive and holding up through the constant reality of freezing and thawing and the wide diameter means that the work of running water to the horses is going as quickly as possible, definitely faster than with our old garden hose. Its hard to spend what seems like a lot of money for a hose, but this is not your average garden hose. It makes our life so much easier, we feel every penny was well spent and it will actually be cheaper than making multiple purchases of lesser quality hoses.

Kinky! also, it is starting to spring leaks but ... full disclosure, that's after 12 years of non-leak use!! Non pliable, stiff compared to other high end hoses...

Great quality product, worth every penny. My 3rd hose from them, this will last for years.

I use 3/4 inch hose and program my 8 hose connected sprinklers with two Melnor programmable devices. It all works with an android phone app for my 60 x 150 suburban property with ornamental and vegetable beds. Using an above ground hose system has the big advantage of enabling me to change the landscape without being concerned about changing underground sprinkler piping and paying expensive outside vendors. The quality, size, and color of this "Agricultural Water Hose" makes me wish that all my hoses were like my 75 foot beauty. It is supple and the fitting are large enough to tighten without tools and without leaks.

This hose is very well made, thick and quite heavy. The brass fittings are very strong, thick and sturdy with no leaks at all after several weeks of daily use. But, I've found out the hard way that there is no such thing as a hose that doesn't kink. If you drag it around going from plant to plant, it will kink--just like every other hose I've ever bought. What to do? Go unkink it and get back to watering things. As noted, it's a very sturdy, thick and heavy hose. Great for my needs, but it may not be right for you. I think smaller folks would not enjoy hauling its heft around. So weigh these issues carefully. And you'll need a large hose pot to store it in.

I was excited when Colorite hose and my new watering wand arrived. The hose is very thick and heavy, which was O.K. with because I wanted something that was lead free, kink free, and would last a very long time. I hooked up the hose to the spigot and the wand to the end of the hose. When I turned on the hose water started spraying from the so called "High performance lead-free brass coupling" near the wand. My homes watering system is know where near the 500psi that this hose can handle. When I looked at the coupling near the spigot it was dripping as well. I didn't have any other hoses, so I have watered my plants for a week while deciding if I want to take it back to Amazon, or go through the Colorite warrantee process. While watering I have found that the hose kinks very easily. I believe this is due to the lack of flexibility in it's design. I counted 5 kinks in the hose the last time I went out! I am infuriated because now I have to pay to return the hose, or pay to send back both couplings and 6" of hose to Colorite hoping I got a bad apple.I'll keep you updated.

Other than being much heavier and harder to coil than our previous hose, this one works great. Doesn't feel like it'll break or crack and it even seems like I could drive over it.

Water leaks at the connector. Replaced the seal, same thing, still leaks. Went straight into my garbage can.
