I bought these looking for a cheaper alternative to direct fit air-tite capsules since I'm using them to store silver eagles and kangaroos for 10-15 years. Eagles fit very well, no discernible movement when you shake the capsule. Kangaroos have quite a bit of extra space.That said, these are not airtight in the professional sense. They appear sturdy enough to keep your coin from getting scratched and slow oxidation while allowing you to view the obverse/reverse/edge with high clarity, but for high-premium coins I'd spring for direct fit capsules, if possible. There is a lip on these to allow you to open the capsule, which to me suggests they are not designed for professional long-term storage of high-value coins. Plus each capsule has a noticeable bit of extra plastic along the edge from the manufacturing process where it looks like 1 piece was detached from another. I removed the excess with nail clippers but there's still a mark in the plastic. If imperfection drives you crazy, don't buy.The plastic is cheap and I suspect it will turn yellowish after some years, so that's something to consider if you're planning on passing these along to your heirs or the equivalent storage term. The case the capsules come in is like what you'd buy your 5-year-old to put their crayons in. This is cheap storage, a decent starter kit for lower-value items.

I've kept silver coins in these capsules for about a month. All my coins are now showing signs of damage to the surface. There is something in the plastic that is damaging the coins. It's either a softener, acidic cleaner, or PVC. I do not recommend these at all. I should've known buying cheap Chinese plastic was a terrible idea. This product belongs in the garbage. Shame on you seller for peddling cheap crap that damages valuable coin collections. Will be returning to get my money back. Unfortunately, the damage to my coins is irreparable.

These are amazing for holding your silver rounds and you can't find a better seller or price on Amazon. If you need some nice, inexpensive airtite capsules for your Silver Eagles or other 1oz Bullion, I can't recommend them highly enough.

I bought this for a friend that loves coin collecting. He had many coins that were in a box but not protected from rubbing against each other. He said he would purchase coin protectors but they were too expensive in the local store. With his birthday coming up, I bought these for him. He was amazed and still is about how sturdy they are and how well they stack in the box provided. Plus you can see most details on the coins without having to opening it.

I bought these for storing my ASEs. While they do fit perfectly, the downside is I can't get them to stay closed. I have to be careful how I pick them up because they're always opening up. Tried to save a couple bucks over air-tite, but it isn't going to work out with these. Just using them long enough to get them replaced.UPDATE after using half of them: still not staying closed at all. They pretty much all slide right open. Completely useless for the intended purpose.

I mainly purchased this set for the box. It is a very nice box for storing coins in their holders (39mm and 40mm fit great!). While the coin holders are okay, be aware that they are not air tites and such, do not close like an air tite. They are easy to open by prying the small notch. Also, I'm not sure what type of plastic these are made from, so I probably wouldn't put anything more than some generic rounds in them; definitely nothing of true value! Still recommend.

Although it takes a little effort to open, once you have the hang of it there isn't a problem. Coins can be kept looking exactly like they were when enclosed.

Definitely a good value. Comes with finger protectors, wipe, individual coin holders and a container for them all. Sturdy enough to suit my needs and would recommend! Coin holders are a bit difficult to open initially, but once you get the hang of it, it's fine. Definitely recommend.
