Bought these recently to replace the 2 front shocks on my 2001 Frontier SE. I love them. They raised the front an inch or two and just have a very nice, firm feel when driving. The 2001-2004 Frontier didn't have another option for Bilstein shocks (like the heavy duty version of Bilstein's you can buy for the newer Frontiers) but these are pretty heavy duty. I drive every day up and down a rough alley with lots of potholes and these handle it much better. Not a smooth, "comfort" steering response but just a heavier not as springy truck feel to the road, which I like. The Frontier used to bounce up and down a ton and these eliminated that. I would strongly recommend for any Frontier owner who wants that nice, firm truck feel to the ride.

Very nice shock! Although, if I had known how much more stiff the ride would be I would have went with OEM replacement in the front and Bilstein in the rear. Not the parts fault. That was my failure to research. At First I only installed the rear and I loved the ride quality. Then I install the fronts in addition to the rear. Ride quality became a little stiff but not bad. Still very nice! I have these on both front and rear on my 2004 Xterra SE/SC

You get what you pay for
I purchased these shocks to replace worn out Tokico shocks. These Bilstein shocks are worth every penny. Dont bother trying to find something better, these are it. Smooth ride, easy install.

These shocks make our ride so much smoother. They were easy to install and the Amazon price was great. I only gave it 4/5 stars because they wouldn't ship to where I live in Hawaii, I had to ship them to family on the mainland and then pay them to ship them to me here. I can tell a difference immediately after installing them.

1998 Nissan Frontier XE 4WD (King Cab)
Straight up the best investment I purchased for my truck. (Front and rear) this is an awesome shock and my truck is actually solid riding now and rolls over pot holes versus smashing into them. It's great. Installed easy after I remove the rusted to hell oem one. Nothing but positive. Fronts come with all the hardware on top but you use the old bolt on bottom.
