Comfortable, No Leaks, No Headgear!
I recently started CPAP therapy and have been experimenting with different masks over the last several months. I originally landed on one with the typical headgear. It left marks on my face depending on how I slept and sometimes woke me from leaks, but it was better than any of the others I had tried and, to that point, seemed like a great option.I originally bought the Bleep DreamWay connector kit and DreamPorts for 2 reasons: 1-curiosity and 2-because I kept finding myself in situations where I didn’t want to use my “regular” mask, namely when I had an early morning interview and didn’t want marks on my face and on numerous occasions when I was ready for bed but still had wet hair. I have been using my machine religiously since the day I got it and expect to continue to do so, but was feeling like I was doing a lot of planning my life around it and thought this would be a great fill-in for those special occasions. I did NOT expect it to replace my “regular” mask.Fast forward a month and I haven’t used my “regular” mask in weeks.Biggest pros:-It’s so comfortable, I rarely even feel it while sleeping!-No headgear!-No mask marks!-No hair tugging, bald spots, bonnets, etc!-Perfect seal almost always!-Very direct airflow for easier breathing-No waking up all night to reposition and fuss with the seal-Great customer service-Easy application-Very gentle, non-irritating adhesive that is easy to apply and easy to removeSome tips:-Use the diffuser piece. It makes for such quiet slumber.-To check that the ports and clips are in place properly, give a very (very!) gentle tug on the connection to be sure the port doesn’t pop off easily, then once both are connected, cover the end of the hose and attempt an exhale and an inhale-both should feel significant resistance with the hose covered. I can tell if I need to adjust a clip if I do this and hear loud noise or it’s still easy to breathe.-Use the recommended astringent prior to applying. I have gone without and gotten a good seal, but I get a flawless seal consistently when using the astringent first.-Blow your nose first and adjust your humidity if needed. The one reasons I’ve ever run into issues with seal have been on the occasion I’ve had a runny nose or condensation in the mask causing the adhesive to get wet. In both scenarios, I’ve still been able to maintain a good seal, but it hasn’t been as flawless as when I set my humidifier right and blow my nose first so everything stays dry.-When disconnecting for a quick bathroom run or similar, just disconnect the DreamWay hose from your machine hose and either let the hose hang or, my preference, tuck it into the shoulder or neckline of your shirt for less tugging. (When letting it hang, I feel like an elephant with a swinging trunk, so I now fondly refer to it as my tusks and trunk.)-When disconnecting for a longer period but going back to bed, disconnect at the clips for total freedom. This is most comfortable too in terms of breathing for longer-term disconnections (and I’d assume safer too for longer periods).-Pull the plastic bits off the adhesive and recycle them. I wish there wasn’t so much waste, but recycling these helps a bit.-Be careful to remove the clip from the port! I managed to pull the clip portion of the DreamWay off on one of the ports one time instead of unclipping it and didn’t catch it until later. Fortunately, I still had the port on my nightstand and was able to retrieve the clip (it popped right back in place without issue).-If it’s loud, check your connections to be sure a clip isn’t loose and check that the diffuser is in place with the white filters secured. It isn’t loud when everything is connected properly.Improvements I hope to see in the near future are a reusable component to reduce waste, an overhead connection of some kind, and a reduction in cost. That said, I know the company is young and the CEO is motivated, so I fully expect we’ll see these and/or other improvements in the future. Until then, I’m giving it 5 stars as a first design. Highly recommend!

Used with RESMED 11, have issues with ports
I have a RESMED Airsense 11 and the Bleep tubing does work with it. The tubing just fits into the existing tubing using a little plastic piece. Keep in mind that with the Airsense 11, the tube is always coming out of the top of your head. This system makes the tube come off your nose...a whole different setup. I sleep in the "prayer" position with my hands under the side of my face and I got tangled in the hose quite a bit. While the tubing fits, it's a short piece of tubing and no where near worth the price they are charging for it....especially as tubing has to be changed out periodically. I cannot see myself continuing to use this system for a few reasons, and cost is a LARGE factor. My second issue is those nose pieces. I want to love this system, it makes so much more sense to me then what I've been using, but I can't get them to work. I have read the directions, watched the video's, etc. and I don't see where I'm doing anything wrong but I simply cannot get a tight seal that lasts. My problem appears to be the width of my septum, lol. When I put the first port on, the adhesive around it is so wide it not only covers my septum, but protrudes over the other nostril. Then when I try to put the second port on, instead of sticking to skin, it's sticking to the first port and won't make a tight seal.In my pictures I'm trying to show you how they overlap.I originally tried the 10 and 2 position they tell you to use and it just wasn't working. So then I looked at the adhesive surrounding the ports, tried to find the narrowest part, and tried to align them so that the least amount of adhesive went over my septum but it still caused the same issue.I bought the witch hazel wipes they suggest and tried wiping the top of the adhesive on the first one so that the second one would stick to it but there's always this tiny gap where air gets out.I've never been told I had an unusually small nose, lol, so I'm not sure if it's that or something I'm doing wrong. Problem is that every night I try again, I end up wasting a set of ports. I wasted half of these constantly trying to get them to seal and then gave up.At $1 a night for the ports, and over $50 for a new hose every time, coupled with my inability to get a tight seal over my septum, I'm not happy.

A little 😲 but I'm completely sold on Dreamports
I've had a CPAP for a couple of years and had stopped using it because I COULD NOT find a mask that was, at the very least, not painful. Nasal pillows, over the nose, nothing worked for me. Which was incredibly frustrating because, besides feeling better, I actually lost weight for the 1st time in years and with minimal effort. I guess my physical stress level went down when I stopped trying to die several times a night ;).This maskless system seemed too good to be true but I am blown away. The 1st night I used the Dreamports I slept for almost 9 hours straight. Neither my head or my nose hurt, I don't have a giant pimple from under the mask seal and I actually was comfortable enough to fall right to sleep. And it was quiet! No leaks, or air noise at all.Getting the ports connected had a learning curve but that's it for me. The rest was no issue. Follow the instructions, especially about cleaning your nose with alcohol or witchhazel with no moisturizers and let it dry COMPETELY.After the 1st night I've set up a strap to keep the hose from falling off the bed. That was mostly distracting while trying to fall asleep but the adhesive never budged. If you have sensitive skin, take your time peeling of the nose pads. Try some witch hazel with aloe to clean and sooth the skin.
