Water Level Alert with Text Message and Email Notifications, Battery Powered with a Float Sensor

Excellent alert device. Priced reasonably and dependable.

This unit works well plus it was easy to setup and easy to install. I like the price point too so I highly recommend the Myspool Water Level Alert

After seeing different products from other vendors, including the need to subscribe for notifications, difficulty in setting up and getting alerts, etc., I was hesitant whether this one would meet my needs. The description about the product was very accurate and the product was exactly what I wanted. It was simple to install and setup. No subscription needed. As to how I am using it, I needed something that would tell me when the level of the water pool in my pool was below my desired depth. The video on the web site was super useful in showing how to switch from high water to low water mode. I found a spot around my pool where it would not accidentally get bumped. Under the railing of the steps into the pool turned out to be ideal. I enclosed the unit on three sides with a part of a plastic container. I mounted the top of the container to the coping around the pool which is always above water, with velcro. I ran the wire to a waterproof container thru a tiny hole near the top. That container sits on the pool deck under the railing. The wi-fi connectivity worked fine. The battery unit eliminated the need for any wires going across the deck. Too soon to know how long the batteries actually last, but I intend to really use this unit when I'm away so I can tell my house sitter when to add water to the pool, so battery life shouldn't be an issue. In the future if the control unit becomes waterproof that would make my setup even better.

Great basic product, No Subscription, Super basic old school setup but it works! 11 seconds from tripped to notified. Wish there were some more basic features like the ability to see battery percentage or if it gets disconnected but other than that I Love this Device and its the best one on the market at its price point and is battery powered!

Easy to instal

I bought 2 of these pieces of garbage. One for each house (rental and mine). The first one I took down to the rental and despite fiddling w the battery contacts I finally got a blue light to come on. 3 smart phones later we could not get the device to show up in our WIFI list for more than 1 second. All of us are in technology and very savvy. Nada. So I took the 2nd one down to them (was going to return the first and just keep the 2nd at the rental)... and I did get this one to finally show up on the wifi. We got it configured on an Iphone and ready to test. Lifted the float... no email. Not in junk. Nada. Reset it. Tried for over 2 hrs. Nada. Put in water thinking there may be a water sensor instead of just manually lifting it... still nada. Ooooh I didn't mention that neither of them came with an L bracket to mount the float on the sump pvc pipe or a tie wrap.. I made one from an L bracket I had and a grinder. I'm returning both. Run y'all from these P.O.S

I needed help with getting the alarm to communicate with my telephone and called support. Within minutes, my call was returned and I was assisted by a very knowledgeable employee who not only got the device to pair with my phone, but also gave suggestions as to how I could mount the sensor in my sump pump. I followed his advice and found it to be good. Last night, for the first time, the alarm sounded in both text and email forms on the phone. I went to check. All that was needed was to raise the sensor a bit. There was no problem. But I know for certain that the alarms work, so am resting comfortably in the knowledge that I know there is no problem, and will be alerted if there is one, no matter where I am at the time.

Setup only took a few minutes. Installation into my sump pump took even less time. We have a crock that is constantly filling, and a sump failure gone undetected would be horrible in a finished basement. This has to be the simplest device to let you know of any issues, especially while away from home. Just a fantastic product and no fees! The original "alarm" that came "professionally installed" isn't nearly as nice and functional. Don't hesitate!!! Grab this so you don't come home from vacation and find you house became a pool.

It connected to my Wifi but could never be configured to send email alerts. MySpool support tried to help but it got quite technical, with lots of home network configuration fiddling, including a new DNS server address. Unfortunately my network DNS server cannot be changed. The product had to be returned.

Work as excepted. This float type is better then the contact plate as it won't be affected by humidity that can sometime cause false alarm with contact plate. So no false alarm with this one. The alert come in by text message (SMS) and by email literally about 10-30 second after the float sensor is triggered, its very fast! Also, no need for data on your cell phone to received the text message alert as it use SMS, and not internet based communication. Although, WiFi is required between your sensor and your house Internet, but basically everyone as that already anyway.

Seems to work as intended. It’s outside and not sure how long the batteries will last. One of the batteries came stone dead but once replaced works great. Exactly what I needed.
