Review: Looks good and works well. - Some years ago I lost my iPod Nano. This meant that my Bose SoundDock speaker became virtually redundant. Recently I decided to see if there was a used iPod Nano that I could get cheaply to reactivate it, otherwise I was going to sell the SoundDock. iPods, even used ones, are surprisingly expensive but while I was searching I came across this very neat little device, along with similar alternatives from other manufacturers. Reviews for this one were largely positive and of the various choices I think this represents good value along with good looks. It arrived today and I have already paired it successfully with both my Galaxy S25 and my gaming computer, and switched between the two with no difficulty whatsoever. Setup was very simple and easy; plug it into the socket on the SoundDock, switch it on (it seems to go into pairing mode automatically), select it on your Bluetooth device, and you get an audio prompt saying 'connected'. It really couldn't be easier. Highly recommended.
Review: Works For My Philips DCB152!!! - UPDATE: Still works ok, only two things I have run into are that my Philips hi-fi now doesn’t go into that blue light eco mode anymore and I’m guessing even switching the Bluetooth receiver off it still powers it in the background. No worries though as it just displays the clock and the smart meter shows 2p an hour running so makes no difference to the cost. Other one thing that has happened I was playing a compilation album and twice the hi-fi turned itself off? It was a hot day and I’m guessing but only a guess as maybe because the Bluetooth receiver is acquiring power in its own standby state maybe the hi-fi isn’t cooling down as standard. That being said I’m trying it right now it’s cooler today and the unit is just warm. Still giving this product 5 stars as I do understand my hi-fi is now supplying power to it and the fan on the back can only do so much. What’s a bonus I had a Logitech 3.0 Bluetooth receiver and this is it’s replacement only down to now it powers from the iPod dock on the stereo and now have a free plug socket, the Bluetooth signal that sends to it plays fine with no lagging. Even in my pocket and walking from the kitchen to lounge it didn’t drop in signal. For just over £20 it does make a difference. If you do have a problem with the Bluetooth not playing at least there’s a Auxiliary port to use a 3.5mm cable from the headphone jack to this. Also the Bluetooth name is under SOUL2.

**Q: Although not listed, can i ask if this would work with b&w’s zeppelin?**
A: Received yesterday and can confirm it works straight out of the box with no need for the aux cable. Has breathed new life into an old series one Zeppelin that has spent at least 6 years on a shelf gathering dust!

**Q: Will this work with a Gear4 speaker?**
A: This will work with any Ipod Dock speaker that uses the older type of connector (about 1" wide), ie NOT the lightening connector found on modern iPhones/iPads.

**Q: Is this product compatible with Ruark 4i?**
A: If your player has the 30 pin connection then it will work.

**Q: Would this work with  Beoplay A8?**
A: Are Beoplay 8 not ear buds? This item takes music from Bluetooth equipment to play on the speaker it is plugged into, so receives rather than sends, so I would guess not.
