Named after the legendary 15-mile stretch of sand cutting through the deep blue Bahamian waters where the Bluefin tuna migrate north, these Costa angler sunglasses are created to uncover and showcase the famous, underwater fish highway. With integral hinges, a patented vent system, polarized and made from tough-as-nails nylon, these men's performance fishing sunglasses won't be missing much.

Counterfeit
Had a feeling the price was too good to be true. When put next to a pair I bought directly from Costa for the sole purpose of a side by side comparison, the differences became quite clear on the counterfeit pair - the silver C on the arms was a little off in color, the rubber pieces didn't line up cleanly with the plastic, printed info on the inside of the arms was different in size and font and missing one marking, and the box the counterfeit glasses came in had less crisp printing on it. The right lense was etched with 580, the glasses case looked legit as did the included microfiber cloth, the packing material was pretty convincing, and the lenses themselves were polarized. But again, when put next to the genuine article, discrepancies became very apparent. I spoke to Costa regarding the pair I got here, they responded saying they do not sell their sunglasses on Amazon. Perhaps there are legitimate retailers on here selling them, but Costa is not selling you their glasses at 50% the usual price here.

The glasses sent were counterfeit.
The glasses sent were counterfeit. The trademarks were wrong. The lenses had incorrect 580p identifiers. Lettering on frame was not consistent with Costa del mar.I returned them immediately.

Let’s Look at the 580P Tuna Alley Closely
The 580P Blue Mirror Tuna Alleys on the left side in the pictures were just purchased from Amazon. Com. The 580P Green Mirror Tuns Alleys on the right side were purchased directly from Costa about a year ago. Notice the differences on the inside of the frames. The Blue Mirror pair says made in Italy. I didn’t know Costa now makes frames in Italy. For all the sunglasses experts out there can someone please verify this. Also take a look at the metal screw in hinges in picture 3. It looks slightly smaller then the ones purchased directly from Costa. Could someone please verify these are authentic? I’ve read Costa offers a “global fit” and I have a feeling these ones just ordered from Amazon might be that.

Costa currently have no comparison or competition, they’re the best in the world
in the current market there’s nothing similar, they’re by far the best sunglasses I have used in my entire life, and I have used many ( from rayban, maui jim, okley and many more brands ) Costa del Mar has no competition or even close second, they’re a bit dark at first because they’re designed to protect the eyes from the reflection of the sun and the glare in the most extreme conditions, but you get used to it in a few minutes. I use it daily for driving, jogging, etc. I don't know how I could recommend these sunglasses even more, Costa del Mar is the best in the world ! Bravo

Great deal. Bought at $185 and the sticker price ...
Great deal. Bought at $185 and the sticker price even came on the sunglasses case @ an MSRP of $249. I’m a fisherman by profession and know what the sunglasses are worth and what they cost and there is no where on earth other than Amazon, at least that I know of in the 25 years in the business, that you can buy the tuna alley costas with glass 580 lens for 185 bucks . Will buy again but doubt the offer will still be there.

Was supposed to be glass but appears to be plastic
These were supposed to be glass but look and feel like plastic other than that they do there job but for the price I would have preferred to be glass as stated. Don't have time to play the send back and forth and all that game and contact everyone and there brother to get this resolved.

Great product
Bought these glasses specifically for fishing as I needed to be able to sight-fish while fly fishing in Colorado. I've always been hesitant to purchase high end glasses because i either break or lose them constantly. These stay in my pack and they are the best glasses i've ever worn. They are super comfortable, have great polarization, are not too dark, and keep outside light to a minimum when scoping fish. I've had a pair of Costa 580p glasses in the past and the 580G is a much better product, though there is a noticeable weight difference.

Crystal Frames with 580G Lenses - I totally love them!
I purchased these glasses after losing a prescription version of them, so this is my second pair, which should tell you that I really love these glasses. I originally bought them at the recommendation of my Optometrist since I am involved in boating, sailing, fishing, and snow skiing, all which reflect a great amount of sunlight. These glasses are designed to block out sunlight not only through the lenses, but the light that typically enters around the frames, so when you are wearing them, you get superior protection from the sun. My first pair had plastic 400-series lenses, while my second pair has the glass 580-series lenses. The plastic lenses are needed if you are getting a "progressive" prescription, which is what I had, and the plastics are supposedly lighter. I really don't notice any difference in weight with the glass lenses (they don't feel heavy), but they are noticeably clearer and supposedly more scratch resistant than the plastic (per the Costa del Mar website). There is a definite difference in the wavelength of light that gets through the 400 and 580 series lenses and according to the Costa del Mar website, the 580's block blue and yellow light to cut haze. To me, the 580 lenses definitely seem clearer than the 400 lenses, but I also went from plastic (400P) to glass (580G) lenses, so it's hard to tell if it was the change from 400 to 580 or from plastic to glass. In any case, the Tuna Alley glasses with the 580G lenses are awesome. They are comfortable (I have forgotten that I am wearing them and started to look for them!) and provide incredible sun protection. I personally think that the crystal frames with the blue finished lenses are super cool looking and I get lots of comments on them, but they come un a number of colors. While they don't really need a retainer to hold them in place, I would recommend one if you are fishing or boating. I lost a pair by putting them up on my baseball cap after sundown while cleaning the deck - not a good idea. I bought the Chums retainer with the large ends which work perfectly.

Son Estupendos!!
Son de una excelente calidad el material, súper resistentes tanto en la mica como en el armazón. Me encantaron. Los uso para la pesca deportiva en el mar y se ve increíble a través de ellos, además de que te protegen tus ojos y todo su contorno. Y por si fuera poco, están a súper buen precio. Se los recomiendo 100%.
