good bulb
got these to replace the incandescent chandelier bulbs that are in the scones (astrid lamps from ikea) on the wall behind the sofa which were too warm and had to be replaced so often. i love that these are not hot and will last for much longer... i have cfl in all my other lamps thru the house and appreciate that these are in this design too.

Some might not like that, but when I turn them on
My two 10 bulb chandeliers used to use SIX HUNDRED watts each. With these far more efficient bulbs, they use only 70 each.One note.When they are first lit, they are dimmer than they are a minute or so later.Some might not like that, but when I turn them on, at least it's not like looking right at a flash bulb.
