Great book, but not an amazing college textbook!
I'm in a senior level college class that is using this as a textbook. It is a great book that is full of easy to read and useful tips. Unfortunately it doesn't make a ton of sense for a senior level class as most of the stuff would need to be applied sooner! I feel like it would be more useful as a high school textbook in order to prepare students for college. Finally, I wish it had some examples that went a little bit more in depth!

Not as good as the buzz says it is. But great concept.
Really cute and catchy, but not as much substance as I would have liked. Any time a book has as many copy-editing errors as this one does, it makes me suspicious of the entire book. Suitable for a fast read through to reinforce concepts. But doesn't break new ground. Qualman's a raconteur, a engaging story-teller, but this book shows signs of being quickly put together and of fluff and repetitious material being added to make it long enough that it can be sold as a book without people squawking about getting a 95 page work for a full book's price. So, it's not as good as the buzz says it is. But it is a great concept. And it gives a clue as to what an engaging speaker Qualman must be in person.

MRKT 493 Book
Our class has been going through this book while we are doing social media campaigns. This book has given us great insight not only for our clients, but also for our own social media accounts. Many of the things in this book are common sense, but there are always people who fail to think before posting. I would highly recommend this for all students, or really any one who owns a social media account.

Easy, fun and informative read
This is a fun and easy read. There is a lot of topics that are common sense, but Qualman provides short stories that really drive the importance of each topic. The Lessons Learned section is really fun and it provides a good view of what not to do on social media. Overall the book is great.

good resource.
The book places the ID or the many errors that we may/do commit in the age of social media. Written for youth and those of us that should know better, it opens the eyes of both.

An excellent introduction to managing one's digital self for students of all kinds. Qualman offers plenty of personal stories and experiences that are relevant and relatable to probably all college students today. Great tool for Marketing / Business / Students of all kind.

Great quotes and bits of advice about how to act professionally, I believe this applies to anyone outside of college as well. It is definitely worth the read.

A great common read... in the classroom and outside of it..
As a contributing author to this book, I have to give it five stars. ;)A great introduction for students learning to manage their digital reputation and also an excellent primer for the higher education professional. Written in an easily digestible and accessible format, this book is intended to be a conversation starter whether you're reading it alone, as part of a common read, or in the classroom.
