Very easy to clean and maintain. The three parts of the hood can be cleaned in running water. The spinner head can be soaked clean in a small bowl in half an hour or so. The base can be wiped with a damp paper towel.

Is there any color that makes white cotton candy?

I believe vanilla is white cotton candy.

Inexpensive and Theme park quality at home

Do yourself a favor and get a commercial grade cotton candy machine, they aren't that expensive and these flavors bring the fair to your home. A good price and you get a lot of cotton candy mix when most of the others are tiny amounts for about the same price. Good texture, good sugar that doesn't clump and lasts a while. A hit at parties and a fun treat for movie night.
