VP Racing Vent Cap Replacement 4 Pack

Not airtight nor gasoline tight. Tried on two different brands of Marin 5 gallon gas tanks (swapping them around to try The different threads) in addition tried on a marine Rubbermaid 5 gallon can and another generic AutoZone or advanced auto can and they did not work to be airtight or gasoline tight on four different brands. (One was lost and I have a different gas cans for use in my generator in case of power outages) in addition all of the other gas cans had yellow caps that you could screw on very tightly. One of my cans it seem to be a good fit but still leaked gasoline when I leaned it backwards and tightening it just a little bit more stripped it. If I only owned One brand of 5 gallon gas cans I would understand that perhaps the threads just didn’t match up but from testing it on four different brands of gas cans that did not work whatsoever in addition to the threads stripping out very easily. Poorly made and not recommended!

Our VP cans (6) we use for Waverunner/boat fuel had a vent cap that came off the restraint strap. We TRIED to keep track of it but eventually lost it. These TOTALLY saved the can and we have lots of extras for the future.

These are for the common red plastic gerry cans that everyone uses. I paid good money for these based on their misleading advertising. I also paid duty to get them across the border in to Canada. I believed their advertising on the item. but it is completely wrong. I now have eight gerry can vent caps I don't need and none of the ones I do. I wish there was a lower rating and that we were allowed to name call. That is all.

Well they seem great. I was hoping to avoid purchasing a new jug altogether. They are slightly too large to fit my gas jug from cycle gear (brand unknown)

Direct replacement for my VP fuel cans. Fit perfectly.

Bought one of these replacement caps before and it split in about 6 months so buy the multipack since these don’t seem to have a long lifespan

The caps are just what showed in the picture, but were too big for my fuel jugs! Nobody’s fault, there are probably a number of different sizes
