Zumimall F5 is an excellent camera
I purchased a Zumimall GX2K and F5 camera back in January ’23. With exception of the Pan/Tilt/Zoom feature of the GX2K camera, both cameras work very similar to each other, and their performance is exceptional. The F5 will send me a notification 5 seconds after detecting motion, and typically rearms for the next detection 5 -10 seconds later. I currently have my record length set to 10 seconds because of testing the reset time, but in actuality, having the record length set to 20 or 30 seconds would show better coverage when movement is being captured. Standard Definition is a bit choppy, and could be tolerated, but why would you when High Definition is an option. Selecting HD produces an extremely high quality image and recording. Both daytime color images and nighttime B&W images are phenomenal. I have attached a late afternoon daytime, and a nighttime screenshot as examples. When originally purchased, I had an issue with an extended delay time (40-45sec) between detection and notification time. Emailing tech support took care of this issue in short order. After this, tech support sent a firmware update for both cameras. If I could go back, I would not have updated the firmware. The original firmware functioned and performed better than the update. I must say tech support was and is fantastic responding to my emails, answering any questions I have, and are amazingly prompt in doing so. More companies should embrace such customer concern and care. I am only powering my F5 camera by its internal battery. This camera covers my deck and screened-in porch. Normally there is an extremely low level of activity here. My original intention was to connect a solar panel to the camera for battery maintenance. However, the camera only consumes on average 6.5% of the battery per week. This will easily provide 3 months of coverage between required charging. The camera is in an easy access location, and installing a solar panel would draw more attention to the presence of a camera, so I decided it was more prudent to periodically charge the battery myself, than risk drawing more attention to the camera. Speaking of covering my deck/porch, the deck and porch are roughly 24’ in length. Half of this length is screened-in porch. The F5 will detect motion on the deck, right through the screen. The screen does not seem to hinder detection. I tried several other cameras before discovering the Zumimall cameras. I was not satisfied with any of those predecessors. Mainly because they advertised/marketed features of their cameras that in actuality were not available for use unless you purchased their monitoring service. In my book, this is an underhanded tactic that equates to lying, and shows disrespect to potential buyers. Zumimall offers monitoring service, and AI detection monitoring, but I have not looked into these options. I utilize 64gb micro SD cards in my cameras which are more than adequate for my needs. I believe they also allow you a 7-day cloud recording offer at no cost. As I understand, it is a shorter record length (non-adjustable), but does provide you with the ability to look back through a week’s worth of recording history if desired. Finally, I would like to report on their detection ability. Zumimall mentions about an 8m detection range for these cameras. My usage has shown these cameras detect motion well beyond this range. My cameras are setup for human detection only. They easily detect people 20-30m away on a regular basis. If I turn off human only detection, they will detect motion/activity beyond 30 meters. These are my first two Zumimall cameras. This sensitivity may be unusual for these cameras, but it is what I have experienced. These are simply amazing cameras. I am one of those very picky sorts of people. I am exceptionally pleased with both of these cameras. I will be purchasing several more cameras in the future to cover other areas of my property, and I feel quite certain those will also be Zumimall cameras.

Really good camera for novices.
I love my cameras, they were super easy to mount and work well. It took a bit to figure out the app, but I think I am figuring it out. This is my first experience with surveillance cameras and I think I made a good choice in selecting zumimall. It has remarkably good picture, better than I was expecting. I am very pleased so far, the battery seems to be keeping up, I have not had to charge it yet. I installed memory cards and we are good to go.

Very good weatherproof and wireless camera
Love this camera. I have one out front and 1 out back. Very easy to install. Small and attaches with a few small screws. Wireless so it can be placed anywhere. It is weatherproof. Picture quality is great. You can set notifications to be alerted. Stays charged for about a month. I have recommended this camera to friends and family. Great small security camera Saves alerts for a few days. No subscription required

Reliable security camera with clear day and night video
I am very satisfied with this camera. The video quality is clear and sharp both during the day and at night. The night vision works well, and motion detection is accurate and responsive. The setup process was very easy. I was able to install and connect the camera quickly using my phone. The app is user-friendly and easy to navigate. I also like the alert notifications. I receive instant alerts when motion is detected, which makes me feel safer. The camera works reliably and has been performing well without issues. Overall, this camera is a great value for the price. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable security camera.

Crap camera
I already have 4 NICGIGA security cameras with ADORCAM app and I am extremely happy with them. I just wanted to add 2 more cameras. Searching for WiFi battery operated security camera landed with Zumimall. Upon seeing "Amazon's Choice" and many thousands of reviews, I thought the choice was obvious and bought 2 ZUMIMALL cameras. I unsuccessfully spent over 2 days in "trying this and configuring that" to no avail. Below is the highlight of ZUMIMALL camera and ZUMIMALL app: 1 - Memory insertion and removal Inserting 128 GB SDXC memory card is a bit tricky but good luck in removing it. Once it is inside, it is extremely difficult (if not impossible) to remove. The notch needs to be redesigned to facilitate removal of the memory card. 2 - Daytime human motion detection hit-and-miss Detecting human motion (with sensitivity set to 8 out of 10 in the app) during daytime is hit-and-miss. It has mind of its own and works 50% of the time at best. Technically speaking, the security camera is supposed to go to sleep during no motion detection, however, it should wake up upon motion within a reasonable time period (under 5 seconds). NOPE! I walked right in front of the camera and waved both of my hands for literally 30 seconds. It finally woke up after I was completely gone away from the camera. After installing the first camera in my backyard (and turned it on after fully configuring it), I was in the process of installing the second one in my front yard. My wife emerged from backyard to front yard to see what I was doing and I was surprised that the backyard camera did NOT trigger and detect her motion during bright day. 3 - Daytime motion detection lacking the substance When the camera did finally detect human motion during daytime, I was ecstatic and immediately checked out the results. I was horrified to see that the app showed a couple of still snapshots of the beginning 5 seconds of the motion (while camera was still in process of fully waking up). The ending of the 30-second motion was detected via video which missed to capture the actual frontal body including face as I had already started walking away from the camera by then. This was to simulate a delivery person dropping a package at your front door. 4 - Video quality The latest F5 model is supposed to be 2K. You would be lucky to get barely SD quality video. If you configure it to QHD, it would be a huge drag on the wakeup time and video recording quality is NOT QHD. 5 - Battery life The manufacturer claims the battery life being 2-6 months. Forget about it. After charging both cameras (plugged in using the supplied cable) for over 8 hours, the battery indicator showed 100%. After only 1 day of fumbling with the camera, the battery life very next day showed 91%. This means it used up 9% of the battery life for virtually no motion detection within 1 day. Simple math tells me that the fully charged battery would last no more than 11 days. 6 - Night vision The night vision is absolutely horrible. Completely dark. One of the main reasons to buy security camera is for nighttime vigilance and it failed miserably. 7 - Zumimall app The app user interface is subpar. It takes a long time to understand how to maneuver through the app. Needless to say that I am a professional engineer and a great handyman. This was an overall frustrating experience and my wife urged me to pack up the cameras to return as she noticed I spent an excessive time with great patience to remain optimistic. I sent a polite email to ZUMIMALL customer service which they did reply back within 1 day asking me to not post a negative review. I had enough reasons to return the cameras as I realized that they are just piece of crap.

This is really a great security camera for the money
Update June 19 2022: Wonderment: solar panels have kept battery fully charged on both my cameras for a really long time now. This is new and I don't fully understand why, I made no adjustment to solar panels. I don/t plan on complaining about this. I got my second camera today and am happy to note that they made some improvements. Motion sensitivity has been given an adjustment slider from 1 to 10, previously they only had high and low and they have added an audible alarm triggered by human motion, if you need it. They have also added a shooting interval designed to save power. I see that they have included a lifetime warranty; nice feature. The solar panel looks smaller but has nearly the same active area because they made the bezel very small The mounting hardware is somewhat improved, locking mechanism is made of steel not some plastic which would strip out if tightened too much. This happened with my first one. Update Jan 3, 2021; I am happy to say that the solar panel has kept the battery charge at or near 100% during all of the dreary days we have been experiencing. Maybe the solar panel generates enough heat to melt any snow before it accumulates, Update October 10, 2020: This is the one to get. Solar5 Panel still keeping charge at 100% and WIFI reception is great. I am still struggling on how to delete history and, unfortunately, their service department has been less than helpful. I have grown accustomed to simply formatting the SD card when I want to get rid of history. frustrating but not a deal breaker June 19, 2025: I got my third camera today and am very happy with the resolution improvement. Unbelievable image quality =================== Update August 28, 2020: The battery hasn't dropped below 100% recently. I think the Solar Panel is doing a really great job of keeping it charged. It remains to be seen, however, how it well it will perform come winter.. It may be necessary to adjust the angle of the panel to compensate for the lower sun angle in the winter. We shall see and report if it is. Update August 9, 2020: This is really quite a good camera. It does, however, work considerably better if it sees 80% or better WIFI signal strength. There is an anomaly I haven't been able to understand and it has to do with video "History". There are times when I have no alerts and yet there are history videos that can only be deleted by reformatting the SD Card. (I'm not using the cloud). When this happens a check of the SD card indicates there is nothing written to it and yet format deletes the videos. I thought it might be the cache but deleting that doesn't get rid of history. I have asked the supplier on several occasions about and they try to help to no avail. ================================================================================== The service I have received from this company is truly outstanding. I don't believe I have ever received service from any company that is as responsive and caring. It is appreciated Image quality is satisfactory. I can't compare it to other cameras so I don't know what quality to expect in this price range. Setup was easy and Wi-Fi connectivity is good. The CloudEdge app for the iPhone does a great job as well. I like the fact that it has night vision and motion detection as well I feel more secure knowing I will be alerted when there is activity in the watched area After I have had a chance to evaluate this camera/solar panel for a while I will update my review again. Installed and working just fine. Some problems with Solar Panel Mounting, The plastic locking nut for the solar panel stripped forcing me to utilize a steel nut replacement. I have contacted the supplier on this issue. Also while setup is easy there are some things that need attention: 1. Wait to install any SD Card until after setup is done, the camera wouldn't connect with it in (for me, anyway) 2. I set mine up close to router like they recommend but when I moved to final location I had to set it up again. 3. You need at least 80% Wi-Fi signal strength at the install location. I can't stress this enough. 4. Be careful tightening the Solar Panel Black Locking (round). It is plastic and can strip. I think if you completely remove the mounting sleeve from the bracket and screw it to the Solar Panel first it might work better. I have added a photo of the bracket for clarity. Other than that this looks to be a great camera, very wide angle and great image.

Great concept, rough edges need smoothing.
Purchased two on 11/22/2019 Ordered two more on 11/29/2019 Reviewed 2/9/20 (Three stars) I bought four of these cameras in November 2019. I was impressed at first. But before long, the quirks began to surface. PROS: Wireless/Cordless Easy installation Can easily add additional cameras Good picture in HD mode Reasonably fair picture in SD mode Weather proof/resistant Camera mobility Can share access with family/friends Internal storage on micro SD card (not included) Cloud storage available CONS: Extremely unreliable* Software very spotty Poor wi-fi Terrible battery life Slow "wake up" time once activated Magnetic mounts basically useless if mounting outside $30 per year PER CAMERA cloud storage fee If you don't need/want details, scroll down to the bottom line. *The cameras I purchased have a tendency to simply shut themselves off completely, so that the only way to re-activate them is to dismount them completely, remove the back cover, connect them to a power source and hold down the power button for five seconds. I have had this happen even when the battery still has an 80%+ charge. If I happen to be away from home when this happens, I am without coverage until I can get home and jump through the hoops necessary to resolve this problem. This has happened to me several times in the short time I have had these cameras. Using the "Reset" feature does not resolve this problem. For me, they continue to shut off, seemingly for no apparent reason. Even when these cameras do work, access through the software app, "CloudEdge" has been spotty at best. After opening the app, I tap on the camera I want to view... and wait.... and wait. The app will start a count up from 1% to 100% where at 100% it finally shows me what the camera is currently seeing. If it connects. Often I have to make several attempts to finally connect. This is frustrating when the software alerts me to movement and I can't connect to see what triggered the camera. In case you might be thinking that the problem is wi-fi signal strength, it's not I purchased two wi-fi extenders and all other devices show extremely strong signals throughout my property. As I look now at the two, (out of four), cameras that I can currently connect to, the signal strength for these are 100% and 78%. The 78% is consistently the weakest signal of the four. The other two cameras are usually at 100% and 90%+, but at present, they have disconnected themselves again and must be dismounted and restarted. The motion detection is very sensitive. Even at the lowest setting it is activated by small animals such as birds, cats, etc. Because of this, the camera is activated very often, which runs the battery down quite fast. I find myself recharging the batteries about once every two weeks on average. sometimes sooner, but not usually longer. Also, when something does activate the camera, I sometimes won't know what did it. The camera takes so long to "wake up", that whatever triggered it is often out of sight before it can be captured on video. That kind of defeats the whole purpose, doesn't it? I've had packages delivered to my front door, and the camera activates just in time to catch the back of the delivery person walking away. There is also an approximately 15 to 30 second delay between the time the camera is activated and the time I get an alert on my phone. The picture quality in HD mode is very good, however, The motion is ridiculously choppy, forcing me to use SD if I want to actively monitor a camera. The SD ain't bad, but it ain't great either. ======== The Bottom Line ======== I think this system is a great idea, and I really want to love it, but it definitely has some rough edges that need smoothing. I would/will not rely on this system for security purposes, (as it currently exists.) That being said, I bought these cameras mainly to monitor my pets when they are outside. Though I find this system to be too unreliable for any security needs that I might have, it suits my basic needs as regards the monitoring of my furry friends. It helps that I am retired and am home pretty much 24/7 and can tend to the cameras as needed. However, should I find myself needing cameras for security purposes, I will purchase hard wired cameras that can be monitored 24/7. I think that this system's biggest problem is the software and I will keep the cameras I have and hold out hope that the software will be improved. I took away one star for poor battery life. I took away one star for unreliability (self disconnection, software, etc.) These are my personal opinions based entirely upon my own experience with this camera system and software. Your experience may be different.
