Varta CR2354 Lithium Coin Battery 3V Non-Rechargeable - Pack of 1

The key fob has a Panasonic CR2354 battery in it. I bought this Varta CR2354 assuming that it's the same thing, but it isn't. The Varta is much thicker; therefore, it does not fit the remote.

The side profile is different from a Panasonic CR2354, which this was bought to replace, and possibly others. So it didn't fit into the match I needed the battery for.

Although the battery number of this VARTA CR2354, matches that of the Panasonic CR2354 that I bought this to replace it with, this VARTA battery DOES NOT FIT! The bottom portion of the battery is visibly thicker, while the battery itself appears to stand half a millimeter higher than the one it’s supposed to replace. Never in my life have I seen something like this. You would think there is some kind of standard that these batteries need to conform to. Clearly, the standard that Panasonic used conforms to what the Tesla designers expected, while the folks at VARTA, clearly do not feel that it is necessary. FAIL.

Die Batterien sind sehr langlebig und entsprechen in allem der Norm IEC 60086-1. Da man hier einige Rezensionen liest in denen die Batterien nicht in die Geräte gepasst haben, liegt es an den Herstellern der Geräte und nicht an den Batterien. Natürlich hilft das niemandem, aber jeder sollte vorher einmal schauen ob die bislang eingesetzten Batterien ebenfalls der Norm entsprechen. Falls nicht müssen nämlich andere gekauft werden.
