Woody's Cook-in' Sauce Barbecue Concentrate, 13 Ounce (Pack of 6)

I have used this for decades. If you don’t like sweet bbq sauces, this is the one for you. Excellent peppery flavor with lots of smokiness. Once you have tried Woody’s, it will be hard to eat other bbq sauces. Because there is no added sugar, you can marinate with this and not worry that it will burn on the grill. Grilled county style ribs marinated and brushed with this during grilling are amazing.

Not all of us want to afford the time and expense of a pellet grill. Woody's is a great and less expensive alternative for those with a gas grill who want the great smokey taste of grilled meat. Let me be clear, Woody's is a mopping sauce not a barbecue sauce. For those unfamiliar, a mopping sauce contains less sugar and burns less during grilling. It is applied when the meat is grilled and a barbecue sauce is used with the meal. I have used the sauce for years and am particularly pleased with the results. I have not found an equivalent produce after significant searches.

Been in love with this sauce for years. My local store stopped carrying it so every time I am in another store look to no avail. I was so glad to find this on Amazon!!!!! It is a very flavorful cooking sauce. Highly concentrated so a little goes a long way. My fav is to put it on pork chops on the grill. It also works well with chicken on the grill as it helps prevent flare ups. Highly recommend

I love this sauce, for marinating too, but mainly for basting during and after cooking. I first ran across it in a piece by Chef Steve Holzinger (now sadly departed) on the wonderful eGGsalad site, now the Global Gourmet. (You can go there and search under "Holzinger brisket of beef BBQ" to find one of his recipes using this. He combines it with bitter orange and hoisin sauce. It's also very worth reading his ruminations "About Barbecue", a fantastically informative piece.Doesn't have that over-sweet taste most of the marinades or basting sauces have nowadays. Works with any kind of poultry or meat (though I'm not sure I'd use it with lamb. Then again, the vinegar might cut the fattiness, I'm not sure.) We use it on chicken drumsticks and it is fantastic.So happy I can order this through Amazon. It came two days later, nicely packed with no wasted space.

My parents used this sauce regularly when grilling chicken, when I was a child growing up in Texas. Woody’s disappeared for a time, then I found this wonderful sauce through Amazon. My entire family covets Woody’s now. I always keep a supply in the pantry and so do my now adult children.There’s not any other sauce that shares Woody’s complex smoky flavor and aroma, in my opinion.I always add a few tablespoons of white vinegar to the sauce before using, as my parents did, adding a little tangy background to the sauce.

I use it for my backyard barbecues on beef chicken and pork. Great product to work with. Shipping still is a major issue as I had three of the six bottles broken in the box. One big mess

The six pack box Of the Woody's Sauce was shipped inside a larger box without packing material. The smaller box was subject to shipping and handling issues. One of the bottles inside the smaller case opened and spilled. Big mess. Not happy with the shipping packing process. The Woody's sauce is always great.

Just got my shipment of original Woody's cookin sauce. Yep it's the same as it has always been. Nothing changed at all. It's the same tart smoky rich sauce I always loved. A+ to the guys that make this stuff. Can't wait to make my signature BBQ beans people love. This is my secret ingredient, among a few other things. I haven't been able to duplicate it with any other ingredient. So glad to have it back on my shelf. Like some others, I can't find it anywhere in any store any longer. It used to be available in Safeway. If you HATE sweet sauces which I do, but love the smoky flavor and a little zing, (this has course pepper corns) then you will like this stuff. Be sure and look for this particular label. I see they have a few variations on it including a sweet sauce.
