The bottle clearly states INSTANT Liquid Chlorine. This means that it INSTANTLY turns into liquid chlorine when water is added to it. Same concept as INSTANT coffee, or any other INSTANT type product or food, the POWDER is made and ready for water. It is 1.07 LB which comes out to about 23oz and per the directions, you'll need to dilute 1lb per 10,000 Gal of water. Is this the MOST ideal product for LARGE pools? No. But it's fantastic for above ground/intex pools. I downsized to a 10x30 metal frame, vinyl intext pool when I moved to a place with a smaller back yard. It holds anywhere between 1100-1400 and some change, depending on how much you fill it, and I like it full. When I open my pool, I shock it with about 1/2 to a full bottle of this stuff depending on the levels when I initially test the water. The test strips I use come with an app that recommends how much shock I should add up front, so I typically go with a little less than why is recommended to avoid over shocking-- which is why it varies between 1/2-1 bottle initially. For routine shocking and no major issues like algae, I shock every 5-7 days with 1/4 - 1/2 cup diluted in a 2.5 gal bucket of pool water and walk around the perimeter of the pool, as I broadcast it around the pool, starting and ending at the output jet (the pool is circular) I do this at night with the pool cover on and this method seems to work great! I use this 1 case of 4 for the WHOLE season (usually May-September) and even have some left over for the next season! (Powder has a longer shelf life) So YES it is a POWDER that you'll need to dilute in a bucket of pool water, BUT IT DOES WORK! Especially for pools UNDER 10,000. However, I would say that it is MOST ideal and cost efficient for pools 5,000 GAL OR LESS.

I thought I ordered liquid chlorine. It came in little bottles but was NOT liquid, It did not raise my chlorine levels,despite using 2 bottles of it.Easy to use, like shock, but not effective.Pool remained green until I added real liquid chlorine.

A little pricey, worked ok

The “liquid” chlorine has been working very well for me. Yes it’s small and not real liquid but the chlorine concentrate is very high. It’s easy to use and I don’t have to add as much as frequently as with liquid chlorine. Plus, it’s been very difficult to find liquid chlorine locally with a short shelf life. I would highly recommend this.

Works great in our plaster pool. I like the bottles for easy dispensing. After adding shock to our deep end, I always brush that area really well, toward the main drain for the system to disperse. Doing that will prevent the shock from sitting on the pool floor and burning/staining plaster or liner. *Despite the label name, his is NOT a liquid, it is granular.*

Called liquid chlorine. Does not mention it is granules. Not what I was expecting nor wanting to deal with
