Got tired of the nylon nets drying out and stopping ball from coming through net. Grabbed the ladder and some scissors and cut the nylon net down. Easy to install the SS net: one tip, do NOT remove the rubber band that is wrapped around the bottom of the net, it is there to keep you from getting the top net hooks from getting tangled up in the net. Grab several of the metal hooks, and make sure you are installing the SS net with hole to the inside. simply slide the hook over the middle ring of the net holders, and the install is done in minutes.It is now May 30, 2017, 8 months after installing this net. Still looks great and works great.Update: it is now October 11, 2017 and the net still looks amazing and works great. Very pleased. No more nylon nets for us!Update: It is now August, 2018, and net still in great shape. Woohoo!Update: it is now June 2019, and a few links of chain are showing some rust. Still in great shape, and works great. Have been really pleased with this product. Not many products hold up like this net has.

To start off, its a flexible chain net, which means it will require maintenance during the course of having it. The only way to avoid the maintenance, is if every single chain link on the net is going to be spot welded - this would make the chain net sell for 80 to 100 dollars, ain't nobody buying that. Instead, the chain links are clamped together and over time one or two will open up, simply use a pliers and close it back.If you dont want to deal with the once a while maintenance of the net, you can take it to the welding shop and let them charge you to spot weld every link or buy a regular nylon net.Outside of that, the chain is fun, great sound, great look, fun to play on. It also has that vibe of different too, every basket hoop in my neighborhood has nylon nets, our chain net just looks and feel different.

My kids were going through a rope net in less than a year and I was tired of replacing them all the time. This cost only fractionally more and it’s lasted very well. No rust, and still is shiny.
