My family and I adopted a puppy last November that was a shih tzu mix. He was tiny when we got him, and we had a lot of trouble finding a harness that would fit him. We bought the harnesses at Target and Petco for a extra small dog, but they still didn't fit right.A friend of ours recommended trying a Lupine harness. I looked into it and liked that there were several different buckles to adjust the fit. I was hopeful we could take this harness and tighten it to fit our tiny puppy but also expand it to keep up with him as he grew. I placed the order in January. It fit much better than any other harness we had tried. True, it was still a little bit big on him even when we adjusted it to its smallest setting. But the design of the harness made it much less likely that our dog would slip out of it as easily as he had some of the other harnesses we tried. It was also relatively easy to put on a squirming puppy.It is now June. Our puppy has more than doubled in size, and the harness still fits him well. We use it daily, and the harness has been exposed to the brutal chill of a North Dakota winter as well as the wear and tear of being worn by a playful puppy. We have been very happy with the quality and performance of the harness.I noticed this past weekend that one of the straps was tearing. I contacted Lupine this morning about it. The associates I spoke with were friendly and helpful, and they are sending a replacement harness out to us. The Lupine guarantee works, and there isn't a lot of hoops to jump through to get it.If you have a puppy or a small dog, I highly recommend this harness and this company. You can rest assured that if anything ever happens to the harness, it can be replaced easily.

I have purchased several harness and leash sets from Lupine and they have been great quality.The leash and harness I purchased is so poorly made I want to send it back.

I ordered new harnesses for my fur kids. I thought I was ordering the same type we already have but these are different. I was concerned because my dogs knew the routine for the previous (and still fine) ones. Turns out these are very simple to adjust and to put on them. I don't think they know they have new harnesses and leashes but I do. They are 10 years old and I was getting tired of the old ones. I may have to donate because they are still in good condition.

I loved it, but my dog chewed through it. He's a VERY aggressive chewer! So I ordered the 3/4". Here's hoping that the new one is tougher than he is!The product says if a dog chews through it, the company will replace it, but I couldn't figure out how to contact the company.

The design is perfect. My Pomeranian male will step in himself when I hold it flat and he knows he gets to walk, but this is the second harness he has managed to chew through! Obviously, he is determined, but I think we need to switch to a style he cannot reach so easily. It is very easy to put on and take off, though. I just have to remove it every time he comes in.

I have a small dog and this harness has lasted longer than any one I have had. He has chewed 6 other harnesses while wearing them. Lupine holds up to its promise. Great harness from a great company.

This is a very nice-looking harness, but no matter how tightly I put it on my dog, she can get out of it.I have gone back to the Cetacea harness I had used previously and have had no problems.I cannot recommend these harnesses.

As an upgrade for our growing pup (4-5lb yorkie mix), this harness was a great buy for us. I only wish the middle strap (running between his front legs) had something to hold it in place as it shifts during use and he sometimes slips a paw out....
