Grunwerg Double Wall Butter Dish, Stainless Steel

I will have guests for a few months, and suddenly spreadable temperature butter was needed. Initially various store bought "soft butter" versions were tried - the ones in the plastic tubs, the taste/usage ranged from Ok to good. Then followed my asking around about butter dishes; the answers ranged from simple to the "water seal" versions. So I purchased 5 different butter dishes, all of them with good reviews and/or friend recommendations.This dish wins for me. It is large enough for 2 sticks of most butter, but the dish is small enough not to look bulky on the table. A particular advantage is that the this dish weighs enough not to be pushed around while getting butter on a knife, or tipped over. The dual wall construction has the right heft and keeps the butter a bit cool - perfect! It is smooth and seamless making it easy to clean. If you hold it while getting the butter it is easy to hold, the lid fits nicely. After weeks of use and many cycles in the dishwasher the finish is still like new.Today I am donating all the other ones, and buying a second one of these.

This item works just as advertised!! I am very happy! The only reason for not giving it 5 stars, is because as with 95% of the butter dishes... They don't have a place to store a butter knife! That is my only complaint!

I like this butter dish a lot. Good quality stainless steel, elegant design and well made. I no longer keep my butter in the fridge.

One in use other ready to go in fridge, then swap over to clean and refill.Is effective at keeping butter solid, longer, during those very very hot summer days.Easy to clean using dish washer and stylish looks adds to the overall package.

Well I Was Surprised How Weighty This Butter Dish Is, Well Made But What I Found Out Later When I Placed A Used Block Of Butter Into The Base That Was OK But I Then Tried The Lid Over It Then Took It Off And Found That My Butter Was On The Lid Towards The Base Handle, I Believe The Lid Needs To Be Re-Shaped To Be Taller And Wider To Avoid Touching Any New Blocks Of Butter Touching The Lid. Butter Gets Disturb & The Outer Edges Swell Out. A Reason Why I Purchased This Dish Is It's Durability.

Really nice, solid piece of equipment. It would be even better if the lid was insulated too.Being SS shows up greasy fingerprints but wipes clean easily.Recommended 😎🐾

We've searched and searched for a butter dish and I am so glad I decided to buy this one despite the seriously high price tag it came with. A butter dish is a sort of investment if you think about it. You will be using it daily and you will put it on the table when you have guests. it therefore must be durable as well as look good. This dish tick all the boxes. It also keep the butter cold outside the fridge.
