This seems like a good quality product that will make my door more secure.Another reviewer posted that the holes did not match up with standard door holes. This manufacturer does make a similar product for a door where the two holes for the lock are closer together, but that is not this one. I think that reviewer either purchased the wrong product or is leaving a review on the wrong product. Either way, the specific specs are available and you should check them out before buying. This one perfectly matched the standard cut outs on my front entry door. It looks beautiful with my matching hardware that I purchased separately. The instructions were a little confusing, but using this product is pretty self-explanatory. Remove your hardware, set this over the holes, screw in the screws that go in the doorjam, reinstall your hardware, screw in the screws that go on the face of the door. This does add thickness to the door (obviously), so you may need to Sandown part of the doorjamb July want to close properly, and it still might fit more tightly because of the extra material that is now on the outside of your door.

We ordered two of these. The product itself is great. My husband was able to reinforce two of our doors. Apparently, there is a tictoc dare that goes around where teenagers kick in front doors. Some of my neighbors in the city posted on Nextdoor that there doors got quite severely damaged, including the frames. Until those teenagers realize what they are doing, we are putting these reinforce on the doors. Of corse, it also helps preventing east break-ins.I like to use the “second Chance” program and buy items at a slightly reduced price rather than having Amazon trash returned items that are still in great shape. So I bought our two units as “very good condition”. However, one unit was fine, while the other one was actually scratched and bent out of shape. Once bent back and ignored the scratches, it is still a functional unit, but I think axon should have labeled the item as “acceptable” and adjust the sales price accordingly. Not too happy about that, but the product itself is great.

Excellent door reinforcer. Width lined up as expected to match our doors. Didn't have any issues with gap being left around our Shlage hardware. The lock and handle hardware completely covered the corresponding openings in this reinforcer. I'd definitely recommend a double reinforcer of this sort to cover both latch and deadbolt and spread any stress out a little further.Even on the door that I didn't fully notch this in to (on the edge of the door), I still found I needed to slightly deepen the mortise for the plate of the latch and deadbolt. This was because the metal on this reinforcer is dimpled to allow the included screws to sit flush. That means a little more clearance is needed underneath. This is not a criticism, just a heads up. To install with an ideal fit may take some time and skill, though it can be made to function with significantly less effort.Unfortunately, as some others have noted, the tight bend radius doesn't match any of my doors very closely. The must frustrating thing about this is that the weather stripping doesn't transition across this very well. At the moment I can see light past the weather stripping at each corner of this.Watch out if you take the risk of buying from Amazon Warehouse. I had multiple of these show up with hardware partly or even completely missing. Generally I've found them to do a very poor job of doing any check that a product is correct. The one saving grace is they process returns on their poorly inspected products smoothly. I just hope they don't turn around and send the same stuff out again. I did call the manufacturer first, and they said sometimes they are able to send out some replacement hardware as a courtesy, but the individual that would have handled that happened to be out at that point in time so they were not able to assist. No problem getting a hold of them and getting straight information from a real person, so due recognition to Prime-Line for that. This problem was really rooted on Amazon's side anyway.

These are not only good extra security, but they look nice. All of my hardware is oil rubbed bronze, so I was really happy with the finish on this. Installation ease will depend on your door. I installed these on 2/3 doors. The other door is going to need some chiseling to get the door to shut. I was relieved that it fit the door knobs on all the doors. The metal is pretty thick and I feel much better knowing my doors can't be kicked in (I also installed strips on hinges and door jamb).

My door isn’t broken, but I put it on the most used door in the house that was always gross from finger prints. The paint was peeling from wiping it down so much. This was the perfect solution to keep the door looking clean with an easy to wipe surface. I ordered a second to put on another door for the same reason.

Great addition to the new front door. We have family in law enforcement. They say bad guys turn away seeing these, because they see it as to much work.

Pretty damn easy install. For the corner pilot holes use an 1/8 drill bit to predrill the holes. These screws will keep the safety plate tight up against the door. The premade screw holes are located on the top and bottom on both sides of the safety plate door reinforcer. Assuming you already have locks and a door, the rest of the hardware to install this kit onto your door is included. I will be buying another kit for my rental apartment. Very happy with my purchase.
