JanaBanana bar Dark Chocolate Covered (Pack of 12)

Received in a BunnyJames Paleo box as part of a daily deal. Not Keto at all! 29 carbs but 564 in potassium. I am honestly addicted. I won’t share with my husband. I will be buying many more. Texture is like a thicker fruit snack, no added sugar. Perfect level of sweetness. I LOVE THESE!

I bought these on a whim, not really sure what to expect. They're pretty good with a different texture and nice light flavor. Ordered green banana, received green banana, but when I opened the first bar the dark chocolate color made me look again at the label and the box! Like I said, they're good, but I was disappointed that they aren't all that banana-like in flavor. Dried/processed bananas never really taste like the real thing, but these have a drop of lime juice in them, and to me that overpowered the banana on the tongue so I could just enjoy the aftertaste. I think it'd be better without the lime, if the recipe would stand for it. Rather expensive snack for pretty empty nutrition and calories, but they're fun and I'll probably buy some of the other flavors soon.UPDATE: Ordered the peanut butter flavor as well. It's a bit of an odd peanut-butter-banana flavor compared to most, but it's good. The lime juice - which I now firmly believe should be absent from the recipes if possible - imparts a little tangy kick that makes this one taste more like a peanut-butter-and-honey flavor with some sort of added aftertaste. It's not bad. I think I'll skip on trying the other flavors but may buy these again from time to time.

We’ve only tried this flavor but it is fantastic. On here ordering another box now. The best part, both my 5 and 9yr old eat them and love them. It’s a fantastic lunch box snack or treat for kids. I keep one in my bag to snack on too. Wanted to add, one of my kids has a food allergy to dairy and is able to eat these safely he really enjoys them. Good alternative treat for those with dairy allergies or looking for a healthy alternative to a snack bar.

The name and description sounded appealing as a product to have on hand for a snack or emergency situations. Unfortunately, the product is nothing expected.The chocolate looking covering was a surprise since banana bars were ordered. The first, only, and final bite had no taste of chocolate or banana. While there was no appealing or descript flavor, it was the thick solid gelled texture with its stick to the teeth quality that prompted the decision not to swallow the bite. I am sorry the product seems inedible and therefore was a total waste of money.If this product makes other people happy, I am glad for them. Here it is not a product to consider ordering again. Possibly someone will appreciate the remaining unopened bars, but they are not acceptable to anyone here. I regret having to write the negative reaction, but it is as truthful as is possible and possibly will help another potential buyer to know what to expect and what not to expect.

I don't often give five star reviews, especially to things with banana in them (which I don't normally like), but these are great. They're good to have on hand when you're traveling (I brought a case to Cuba since it's harder to just walk into a grocery or corner store there) or to just throw in your bag before you leave the house. They don't have the slightly off-putting taste many protein bars have either.

I truly only bought these because it had my name on it. However I anticipated eating them also. They are so thin and flimsy. They are black in color. They stink so badly. The taste is just completely horrid-nothing like banana. The only thing I enjoyed was the packaging.

I had received a sample from Snack Nation. Loved the Jana Banana bar With Peanut Butter. Had to get more. I ordered the 12 pack - these are so different. What shipped was "With green bananas." So watch out. The first bar (the trial snack) was more like pressed fruit. And delicious. These bars are a bit more cakie, and much darker (chocolate?) The flavor and texture is so different. Disappointed. Not excited to buy again.

These have become my family’s favorite on-the-go bar. They have a really natural banana flavor, instead of the artificial taste some other bars have. We’ve tried this one and the chocolate banana one and they’re both great!
