BandolinoWomen's Edition Ballet Flat

Fits like a glove. I didn't realize there's a narrow elasticized band around the inside, rather than just the leather - but I like it - helps hide a little sock. I wanted a true, basic, genuine leather ballet-type slipper (no arch support or padding) and this is it.

Let me preface my review by saying that I am very picky when it comes to shoe shopping. After my previous flats wore out (to the sole!) I knew I had to go shopping for another. The search was on, and before finding this pair I actually had ordered 3 others! My common issues with flats are that my feet are quite wide and thick, but fairly short. I also always have to deal with that horrible break in period with flats where the back of the shoe rubs my heel to the point of blistering.I tried a type of Bandolino flat on in DSW, and was wowed by the comfort. The elastic around the perimeter of the shoe makes it so there is honestly no rubbing. The only thing making me not consider it the perfect shoe was that they don't come in wide sizes. I normally wear a size 6.5 wide, (my feet measure 23cm for exact reference) but found the 6.5 wayyyyy too tight. The 7 is better.The shoe is still too narrow for my feet, and it makes it a little off to walk, but the amazing level of comfort made it so I was able to excuse the incorrect width. I've never had a flat that didn't initially rub my feet, but with these I've had no problem. The inside is a soft suede material, and I feel like my foot is perfectly hugged. My toes are a little squished, but I'll try and stuff them with socks to stretch them out a little more.Another amazing thing about these flats is that when I walk in them they stay on my feet. This might change once I wear them more, but with most flats, my heel automatically begins to pop up out of the back when I walk, so my toes try to compensate by scrunching up and grabbing the shoe to keep it on. I am not sure if this is an issue other people have with flats, but once the shoe stretches out, it always seems to happen. That's why the fact this shoe is slightly tight for my feet, and the elastic part, makes it so this hasn't yet become an issue, and I can walk comfortably without my heel slipping up. (Knock on wood!!)I wish these shoes came in wide sizes, as I'd honestly consider them perfect then. However, for anyone with normal or normal to wide feet, these shoes will work wonderfully! I've tried several types of aerosoles, easy spirit, blowfish, and none of them compare to these as far as the initial comfort. You won't need to wear bandaids on your heels for the first week of breaking in, instead you'll completely forget you have these on your feet!I noticed that even my short toes show some toe cleavage with these shoes, so if you have long toes I think you'll definitely show that.One other very small issue I have is that I think the inner material will easily cause sweating and absorb smells. So far they haven't, but blowfish flats have a similar inner suede lining, and I've had trouble with them.For anyone with wide feet, order a half size up! Your feet will still be a little wide for the bottom of the shoe but it will still most likely be comfortable.

I like these shoes. They are comfy, but they look so cheap! There is not way they are leather shoes.

I am a true shoe a-holic if there is such a thing - I am very fussy and particular when it comesto shoes. Never wear anything but 100% leather and am critical of a specific toe box.This fantastic shoe checks all my requirements and now I am going to go back to the site to see itit comes in any other colors. IT IS A HOME RUN OUT OF THE PARK ALL THE WAY! Neverthought I'd find it....AND IN SOFT GORGEOUS REAL LEATHER!!!!! YES!!!!!So comfortable - won't even need break-in time; good to go this minute!

After a long search for simple and nice flats, I ended finding this product and it is definitely a MUST HAVE. I would recommend to go half size up for a better fit, other than that, these shoes are great. Highly recommend.

Need narrow 7 with arch support. Before I got old I could wear your brand easily.Feet flatten out from aging (73)

I bought a pair of these navy Bandolinos roughly 5 years ago from a Nordstrom rack. They are perfect! They’re super wearable right out the box, and will mold to your feet over time. I originally got a 6.5, but as time and my feet grow, I ordered a 7 this time. I just received them tonight and lo and behold, I was shipped a size 7.5. Which oddly enough worked out. The backing by the heels do slightly dig in which was never a problem with my old ones. So I give it a 4/5 because wrong size delivered and likely manufactured differently. I’ll be wearing them daily so we’ll see if they hold up like they used to.

Very comfortable even when walking a lot and they look good, but not as much support as some ballet flats.

Size as expected

Super soft and comfortable, great for daily wear. I wasn't sure if these would be real leather because I have seen differing descriptions for Bandolino flats but they are real leather with a soft elastic edging which does give them a little bit more of a casual look but they are definitely versatile. The inside is very soft - almost like a micro-suede - which makes them instantly comfortable.I find sizing can be a challenge as I have *slightly* narrow feet. I don't like to see a little gap on the sides but am learning to live with it if it is minimal so the rest of the fit is right. The gap on these is minimal; the elastic trim probable helps with that. If you find you have the same problem with some shoes then I would say these are worth trying.I would definitely buy from this brand again. I rely heavily on reviews to guide my own purchases so I'm trying to return the favour!I'm updating my review after just two days. The above is still accurate; these are super comfy. They do not hold up at all though. They are a soft and lightweight leather that scuffs incredibly easily. See 2nd photo where I accidentally scraped my shoe stepping off a curb (not particularly hard either) and a chunk of leather came right off. I am gentle on my belongings and they usually last a long time. This is a big disappointment. Maybe wear them indoors only?

I bought these shoes from Hudson's bay 1.5 years ago, and they were great for every day work wear. The toe started to show wear and HBC no longer carried them. So happy to find them here, bought 2 pairs .. just in case.
