Seed to Plant (National Geographic Kids Readers, Level 1) Review: Beautiful book - This book is awesome, especially for the price. It's very simple, but it is meant for very young readers. The picture quality is just gorgeous and each page is full of simple facts for small children. My two kids are four years old and almost three years old, and they listened to me read this to them twice in a row, and then continued to beg me to read it a third time. It's not a super in depth book, but for only a couple bucks and some change, it's a great purchase and a lovely introduction to how plants are born. Review: Lovely Series - The best series ever for young readers. It is very hard to find books for young readers that are based on the natural world. The photos are beautiful, the storyline is full of accurate, interesting, scientific facts about the subject, and has a vocabulary building review at the back of the book. And each book in this series has several upside down jokes that reference the subject, an added point of interest for Montessori and all children. BTW, I have gotten more than 30 of these titles for my classroom. Highly recommended!

A great book for the curious young child
This is a really accessible early learning book about plants. I really like how it focuses on what a plant actually is, the parts of a plant with comparison to the parts of a person and the essential things a plant needs to grow and be healthy. The book is a good length for bedtime and the pictures are really excellent. You really can't go wrong with this reasonably priced book to introduce a young person to plants and plant biology.

Best for preschool through first grade
This is an ideal book for preschool through first grade and for curious kids. It is super easy to read with a kid and has great illustrations! I used this book to prepare to plant some seeds.

Great learning tool.
I coupled this book with a planting project for my son and it was perfect. The vocabulary is level appropriate and the definitions are useful. He walked around pointing out plants and the parts of plants for weeks. I’m looking forward to buying more books from National Geographic.

Kids love it!
We have 3 young children that are preschool age and they all love to learn. These books do a great job at sparking their interest and teaching them things that they expereience in everyday life while playing outside.

National Geographic never disappoints! This was a fun, easy read to encourage my daughter to learn more about seed growth, as well as work on reading!
