Excellent for kids experiencing self doubt
I rarely write reviews, but had to for this journal. My 8 year old son is going through big emotions and self doubt. This journal has been excellent in helping us work through it. We fill out a couple pages each night and he's enjoying it so much. It really has helped him recognize his virtues and feel better. Highly recommend for all kids.

Awesome book
This is a great journal. Me and my 9 year old have been working on it for a while. He's loving it and asked if there was another we can do once we finish this one.

All little girls should have this!

Inconsistent across ages
Some have podcasts for support, others don't, which has gotten a little frustrating. Overall very good storytelling.

Kids of today need this
I brought this journal for my son who has adhd and rarely sits for long periods of time without getting bored. He loved this journal! It’s helped him to be self reflective, something kids of today need. I highly recommend it. He’s finished it and asked for another.

Such a great connecting tool!
The media could not be loaded. I’m a stepmom to a wonderful little girl and I’ll tell you connecting with her while mom has been reluctant to support her in gaining more confidence in the idea that I will not be going anywhere soon and dad will always be there for her, mom seems to think that poisoning her thoughts with negativity and hate will keep her from making any type of relationship with me. Well joke is on her because I LOVE my SD and I’m no quitter. This book has all the tools to help you get inside the mind of a child and great conversation starters. And because the “journal buddy” is involved and has to participate as well, both she will learn from me and I will learn from her! Good luck stepparents! 🥰

Great for my 8 year old son.
My kiddo is very smart, kind, funny and talented, but he has always struggled from a very early age with being too timid to try things he thinks are “too hard” and often gives up easily if things don’t come naturally. It affects his ability to try to learn new things at school and even his willingness to do sports and competitive activities in a group (although he thoroughly enjoys and excels at each of those things in the comfort of our own home). We’re only about 1/2 through the book so far but he really seems to enjoy it. I love how the reflection activities involve both the parent (or grandparent buddy, sibling etc) and the child, it really helps the kids to see examples of how adults also struggle and overcome things. He has really enjoyed the activities and stories so far.
