I use these while I'm doing crossfit, bootcamps, or OCRs and they're really solid with protecting your palms. Spartan Race tells you that these will not hold up indefinitely. You will need to get replacements, and this is true. I had to replace my first pair after the 6th race. Totally worth it, in my opinion. They help with grip, they don't retain moisture, they protect your hands from a variety of common OCR ailments (especially if you're at a course where your burpee penalties are in a dirt area filled with rocks). Overall a really good product.For the developers, I would like to make a suggestion. On some of my better cycling gloves they have a "lip" on the finger sections for you to get your gloves off easier. Integrating this in some way on these gloves would be super helpful.

Love the split wrist gloves, they do fray quicker than I would expect. However, when I contacted Fit Four with my concerns, they sent a new pair (smaller size for me) and they fit much better and have been better on the fraying so far. They don't provide as much wrist support as normal gloves, but now at least I can keep my watch on! The smalls are quite small around the wrist also, I find that going over my watch I have to be careful of how tight I pull them, but the smalls fit my hands perfectly.

These are great OCR gloves. The trick is figuring out when you want them and when you don't. I find that I'm pulling them on and off throughout a race. And the on-and-off is a bit annoying, particularly if they're wet. And keeping track of them when they're off is a bit of a hassle. (For my next race, I'm going to get a mini-carabiner and hook them to my hydration pack when not wearing them.)I found them personally too slick for the Spartan Monkey Bars, and I don't trust them enough yet for the Spear-throw or rope climb. But they're perfect for the much thinner grip and side-to-side motion of the Twister. The Multi-rig depends on how it's set up. They'll certainly help protect your hands on the bucket carry, Hercules-haul, Atlas carry, and various crawling obstacles. They're also nice to have on when doing burpees. Heh.

I purchased these gloves for a Spartan Beast Dec. 2019. They fit as advertised, and the wrist wrap is quite secure. Doesnt provide all that much structural support, which works ok for OCR, but wouldnt be great for, say, weightlifting. I tried the monkey bars wearing them (always went barehanded before). They shift and bunch during the rotation from bar to bar and were not actually all that "grippy". Needless to say I fell off, which has never happened before. Midway through the race I hit the dunkwall, and had them tucked in my shorts. Once wet, these gloves have the grip of wet mucus and that was pretty much that. They did not dry out at all, and stayed so slippery that eventually I gave up on using them. I will try using them in my next race, and try whatever I can to keep them dry. If they end up failing as badly at that race I will probably just throw them away.

Love these gloves! I've run one Spartan race with them, and they held up very well. Only thing I would improve is that the elastic band seems like it'll start fraying soon being torn up by the velcro. I would recommend to the manufacturer a more robust material for the band!One quick tip for OCR racers: These gloves work amazingly well for obstacles involving ropes (i.e. rope climb, Herc Hoist, etc.), but are terrible for any of the hanging obstacles (i.e. Monkey bars, Multi-rig, twister, etc.)! Fortunately, the gloves are easy to pull off the fingers for these obstacles, and put back on afterwards. Not sure if that was a happy accident or good foresight in the design, but I'm grateful for that nice "feature"!

The gloves fitted perfectly and add great support to the wrists, they were hard wearing and proved to be very good whilst tackling any obstacle that required hand grip like overhead bars! I didn't receive any cuts or abrasions to my hands during the 15km obstacle course, they washed well and I can't wait to wear them again in November, a must buy for anyone taking on mud runs or obstacle courses. Arrived on time and packaging was very good.

I give it one Star ,because I can't give it 0.The gloves are comfortable yes, but the velcro will only last one race, after the mud, water and such they barely stick together.I was very careful washing them by hand afterwards to see if they were just dirty, but that wasn't the case.The grip is not that great either, they are not as anti-slip as you might think from a product designed for mud races.They are kinda slippery actually.Very disappointed.Good things: they are light weight, protect your hands/wrist, and comfortable while they stick together.

Spectacular - Four OCR races and there're still holding up - easy to wash - great to wear. Please note that there're very tight when bought. Not a Bad thing, but will take a little breaking in period. These gloves can be used for beginners or experienced obstacle course racing athletes. I bought these for a Spartan Race I'm doing - don't bother. Neither as good as grip as rat race gloves or as comfortable as mountain climbing gloves. Save your money
