This add-on feature works fine.
This installable module works great and stopping the Landroid from bumping into objects. It works as described. But given the fact that Worx is not supporting their products I plan on returning the lawnmower and all added features to Amazon for a refund and looking closely at other manufacturers ofRobotic Lawnmowers.I decided to keep the mower and learn to support it myself. .After one year of using the Lanlord as a back yard mower I have changed my opinion on it. While it is difficult to setup. Once the initial laying of guide wires is complete and the inevitable changes to the initial design this Robotic Lawnmower works great. It keep my 1/2 acre lawn cut perfectly. It does require some periodic maintenance like replacing the blades but otherwise I am very happy with the mower. The fact that it will only run on a 2.4 GH Wi-Fi channel is something I wish Worx would change because 2.4 GH has a lot of traffic on it. I have to add a router end point in my attic for the Worx Lanlord to be able to stay connected to Wi-Fi. Otherwise all is good.

Not much difference on or off
After I got used to my Landroid bouncing around my yard and occasionally knocking into things, I added the vision system. Plugs in easily and shows up in the menu as being active. I watched as it knocked back into the same tree stump and post it always did. On larger trees, it makes a frequent detour around the trunk which is nice to see. At least I know it's working. Most of the time that is. Did I need for the Landroid to avoid the trees? I suppose not. Do you? That's up to you, but be aware that on narrower things, this is not a reliable solution. Your mileage may vary, but when I expected a "wow", I ended up with a, "meh".

Easy to Install and Works as Advertised
The Worx robotic mower, Landroid, is supported by occasionally updated Firmware (software). Currently (as of June 2020) it is not possible to turn the ACS system on & off by smartphone app. Once installed, ACS remains 'on' constantly during unit operation. This 'on/off' option has been promised by Worx to be included in the next Firmware update. I would very much like this option as I've built a 'garage' around my Landroid's charging station and I'd like to have slit rubber mats acting as 'doors' at the entrance and exit of this station. But currently can't do this with the ACS active as it would see these mats as obstructions. I'd like to have ACS come 'on' say after a 5-sec delay when Landroid starts. That way it could leave garage passing through the slotted exit mat. When coming 'home' for a battery re-charge, I'd also like to have the ACS turned off, so it can enter charging station through the entrance mat.

ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE
Although not required to run this mower, you will want the ACS hardware to mow more efficiently around obstacles. One instance is a 25x25 shed that is just tall enough for the mower to get stuck half way. Another instance is running over items and getting stuck.... THIS ACS HARDWARE RESOLVED ALL MY HEADACHES. The mower mows so more more smoothly as it maneuvers through the yard. I had a robomow rs622 model for almost 5 years. I am very happy about this unit. Also purchased the HOOD/House for the base charger to protect from the hot sun. THANK YOU WORX!

Junk. Can’t avoid a swing set.
Still have to rescue multiple times a day when it gets stuck on a swing set. Complete waste of money if it can’t help avoid a swing set.

Still bumps things and gets stranded
So the lawnmower performs a little smarter with this attachment. But it still bumps into plants and will ram into things unless you put some sort of boundaries between or space the wiring multiple feet away from the desired boundary.I’ve updated this rating snd moved it down to two stars. I bought this thing because I wanted to vacation or be away from home and have the lawn mowed autonomously. However the thing (whether the accessory is on or off) drives past the boundary wire by about 12” and consistently gets itself stuck after bumping into the bushes or digging itself stuck in the dirt. After a while I started trying to send the mower home early before it gets stuck there, but when I send it home it retraces every corner of the route first l, forcing itself to get stuck. So then I started putting bricks in front of the plant as a boundary and now it just bumps into the brickOver and over until it says mower lifted

Works ok.
Makes unit look cooler as if it has eyes (bat sonar). Just note, works as designed by Worx which it sences items 8 inches or so Above the ground not below so it will not detect say a qrouket ball or horse shoe game piece. Sees people just fine. Glad i added it but unit works very well without it. Hey, only $2xx bucks... lol.

Stops running into the trees
I bought this after seeing mixed reviews about it. It now steers the bot within mm of trees and avoids them. It is driving around my trampoline. Before adding this it was hitting everything. This does not give it depth perception as it still will go over my curb. I'm hoping that it saves the sensors and the bot lasts longer as it is not constantly hitting things. It is an expensive add on and may make the bot safer, but it already is safe as it stops the blades as soon as it is lifted and it is fully enclosed.I would buy it again as it may steer around something someone left in the yard and the bot may last longer. The install is very easy and will take you 5 minutes. All of the tools and screws are included.

Basically useless
If there's a patch of high grass, the mower will simply go around when the radar is installed! Over a 3 weeks period, the situation just got worse to the point I had to deactivate it completely. It has also troubles avoiding objects that are less than 5 inches high, so makes this device useless basically.
