Decent non-frills notebook with good quality paper.
This notebook is exactly as it's billed as - a medium-sized cloth covered flexible notebook. I've used I've used a bunch of other notebooks. The overall quality of the build is what I would consider to be decent. The binding is good, though the first few pages have do not fold neatly back. (As is often the case with notebooks, the binding to the cover causes the first few pages to have a few millimeters from the binding where they are stuck to the page before them.)Most importantly, the paper quality is good. I use a fountain pen, and the pigment ink does not bleed through. It's easy to write on. The lines height is about right for nice fancy flourishes (if you write that way). The strap in the back of the book is fixed to the back cover with a t-style piece. It's not fancy, but it does the job well.Overall, I'd say it's a fairly basic notebook, with good quality paper inside. If you're looking for something that can deal with whatever ink you can throw at it and has a good feel while you write on it, this is a solid notebook to get.

great!
After YEARS of journaling on drawing paper that left paper shreds in my nibs, I upgraded. It's worth a few extra $ for a super smooth writing surface!

Great for fountain pen users!
I love the size options and cover colors. The paper itself is great. Smooth, no drag when using fountain pens of any kind. I've never experienced bleed-through, either. Definitely worth it!

A Very Pleasing Aesthetic Experiance
Ah yes, something as simple as paper but we often overlook the common, the everyday. Not with these notebooks. I have discovered that quality in paper does make a difference and cheap is never better in the paper world.I discovered Clairefontaine notebooks while reading a book by Nassim Taleb and I was curious. Clairefontaine has been making quality paper since before I was born but I have never heard of the manufacturer; why?The answer is that the paper is made in France and the company has only done one thing their entire existence, make high quality paper and notebooks. And it shows when pen meets the page.I use a fountain pen and am always aggravated when it spreads or soaks through to the next page. I love the smoothness of fountain pens but hated the result on the page. So after reading the mention of Clairefontaine I decided it was time to give a traditional paper company a try and thanks to the wonders of Amazon I found the product quickly and it has been great. To summarize, the paper is smooth, crisp to the touch, and does not spread or soak through. Plus it has a very classic and minimalist look to the notebook. A must for anyone that is obsessed with the aesthetic.

No feathering, No bleeding. Both sides of page are usable. Nice smooth writing surface. Have been using for a year, and product has been consistent from notebook to notebook.

This is a beautiful notebook with really
This is a beautiful notebook with really, really nice paper. I am almost afraid to use it because it's so nice. LOL. Really do like it for use as my bullet journal. Fountain pen friendly paper means that there is not much ghosting with any pen used.

It's a notebook
I really like this notebook. I carry it in my bag wherever I go so I can write whenever the mood takes me. I don't know what else to say--it's a notebook that is cheaper than a moleskin. What more do you need to know?I don't know about paper weight and all that jazz but it seems like it's quality. Other folks who use fountain pens say there's not any issue with bleed through, but I can't speak to that.

I love Clairefontaine notebooks
I love Clairefontaine notebooks. I also like Rhodia. The paper is smooth and does not bleed through or feather if you are using a fountain pen. The paper is so much better than Moleskine which I tried once years ago and will not purchase again. I am left handed and I do have to use quicker drying inks with this paper or I get some smudging. The construction and binding is top notch. I will buy this product when I need to restock and if it is available.
