Excellent carrier!! Wish we would have bought sooner!!
First off i would like to say that i do not have a lot of experience with different carriers, i own a ergo baby 360 All Positions Carrier (which i love), and now this Baby K’tan Active that i bought by the recommendation of a friend/fellow mama. I decided to give this carrier a try because i wanted something easy i could just throw in the diaper bag and go, something that was lightweight and simple to put on for daily wear, and for the low price point the quality is unmatched! I am 5'2" and 150lbs and I ordered a size medium and it fits me very comfortably. My little one is 4 months old and around 15 lbs and I absolutely love this carrier, for MANY reasons. First of all this carrier is so easy to just put on and go, unlike other wrap style carriers i have seen there are not buckles, extravagant or time consuming wrapping, rings or belts. You can quite literally just slip it on like a t-shirt and put baby in and wa-lah! Second, i love how soft and breathable this fabric is (and a beautiful coral color, accurate to the advertised photo), i wish i would have had this when my baby was a newborn as i feel this would have been much more comfortable for her vs. my bigger bulky ergo baby carrier, and would have soothed her in times when i needed both hands but she also needed to be held. Plus, it is machine washable!! Anybody with a baby knows how important that is, between spit up, poopy blow outs, etc. babies are plain messy. Lastly, this carrier feels very secure with baby in it when positioned correctly, i cooked a full meal wearing my four month old, chores around the house, grocery shopping, absolutely no issue, she was very comfortable and so was i. This carrier comes with very clear instructions on use, but there are also tons of YouTube videos how to wear it that can be helpful, but it is SO easy to put on, i did it one time and i already had the hang of it! I would recommend this carrier to any of my expecting friends or friends/mamas/dads that are already a parent. I foresee us using this carrier as long as we can as our go to until my girl outgrows it!

easy, quick and perfect for a chronically warm baby who loves being worn/held!
Our son is a little hot body and so while we had prepared for his arrival with a Babyhawk and a Boba 4g, we quickly realized that we'd have to save those heavier carriers for the fall/winter. After some searching, we discovered the Beachfront Baby Wrap and thought all our prayers had been answered. The beachfront wrap is amazingly light and kept our little furnace from overheating and we love the idea that we can eventually use it to take him swimming in (I'd suggest it over the k'tan for water adventures and please read and obey the safety warnings re: use with an infant)....however, its still a wrap. 15 feet of fabulously bright green mesh fabric that, while versatile enough everyone from myself to my husband to my parents can use it, still takes quite a bit of fiddling around with and isnt ideal for quick trips or to load a suddenly fussy baby into.Enter the Baby K'tan!! I initially tried the Breeze because I thought it would provide better ventilation and comfort for me and our little man, however the fabric was still just heavy enough that it wasnt optimal for us (and it only came in black or white on Amazon....white anything with a baby is asking for trouble and black would get WAY too hot in any type of sun) so we swapped it out for the Active carrier and love love love it. On top of being super lightweight and compact, the ocean blue is fun and very visible (the safety nerd in me likes bright colors so that when we go on walks we're visible to vehicles) and its insanely easy to use. I was skeptical of this sort of carrier because I felt there was no way it could measure up to a traditional style wrap, but I was wrong!! Our little guy is a snuggle king and generally doesnt sleep during the day unless he's being held so this allows me to actually get things done while still keeping baby happy and content. I also have a terrible back and this is comfortable enough that i'm able to wear it for hours and a time with little to no back pain or fatigue. The fabric has just enough give (not as much as a traditional or breeze carrier) to be extra comfy but still feel very secure. This has made all the difference in our errand running as well; we opted to not use a travel system with a 'baby bucket' carseat so we still need to carry our lil guy when we're in stores and this is perfect to throw on really quick before getting him out of his car seat and I dont have to worry about the ends of a traditional wrap dragging on the ground of a dirty parking lot.The only cons I have with it were that it took a few order and returns to get the size right (i'm 5ft5in and currently 180lbs but I have a smaller upper body) so I thought I'd be a medium but I turned out to need a small. Also, because the carrier is so personal in sizing, my husband is unable to use the baby k'tan and so for the price, it is rather limited when compared with other wraps/carriers.

Great product! Size up!!!
I really like this carrier. I like this carrier so much that I own three. (2 for me; 1 for hubby)Pros: breathable soft mesh fabric, easy to use, can wear as an infinity scarf when not it use but you need it close by, has a carry bag, don’t have to worry about extra fabric or fancy tying techniques, no buckles, lightweight, baby likes it.Cons: sizing!!! The size chart and sizing tips for this product apply to the original baby k’tan and not the baby ktan active. The mesh fabric does NOT stretch like the fabric used for the original ktan and the product runs small. I followed the size chart on the ktan website and ordered an XS. It was way too tight and the loops were up around my neck. I exchanged for a small and it worked for the first couple weeks, but once my baby got a little bigger, I had to buy a size medium. It is advertised that your baby’s size shouldn’t be a factor, but that is not true. We ordered an XL for my husband, but I wish they offered a XXL. It is extremely tight on him and we won’t be able to use it much longer. For reference, I am 5’2 128 lbs size 4-6. My husband is 6’4” 225 lbs. My second complaint is that the fabric twists and it’s very difficult to untwist unless you have someone helping you. After you figure out the sizing, you’ll find this product extremely convenient compared to other baby carriers.
