Chord The Company C-LINE1 C-Line RCA Interconnect - 1m pair

I have Chord Speaker Cables and they were a major investment that’s proven to be worthwhile for the last 5 years and really good with my new higher quality speakers.Having read the reviews with a bit of scepticism, I decided to try a 1 metre Chord cable to connect my iFi Signature DAC (a very good DAC) to a Marantz 8006 amp (also very good and pure analogue). Within a minute I could tell these new phono cables are something special. Using Apple Classical at very HiRes and their master quality recordings, the instrument positioning, the depth of soundstage, the realism of solo piano works, all were simply astonishing.I was using the nice Amazon Basic gold plated cables which are much better than the ones supplied by Marantz. However, these Chords are I’d say 50 to 60% better than the Amazon ones at this level of hifi.On reflection, given my stereo set up cost me £5+k maybe I should have bought these cables at the start. I’ll definitely buy a set for my CD to amp and for the front channel from my AV amp into my 8006. It’s another £100 but a system is as good as its weakest link.In my system’s case it was the phono cabling.I live and learn…..

You can't spell cable without able, and these are damn able cables. They didn't make me a coffeenor take me out for dinner but they do allow me to listen to my music in fantastic style

Reasonably priced and well made RCA cables.The male terminals fit my external DAC and amplifier snugly. What is praiseworthy is that the cables are separate, not conjoined, which makes them far easier to connect to devices.

The cable arrived promptly. I have only used the cables for around 25 hours and so they are not burnt in yet. However, my early impressions are of a clear and dynamic sound that may not be suitable for already bright sounding systems. However, the sound may settle a little in time. But I do like it and it may be a good match for connection of a phono amp to an integrated amp .

Not cheap but makes music come out the other end.Is it better than a cheap cable? I’ve no idea but when you invest in quality sound systems they say it’s best to buy premium cables.

The cost to benefit ratio with these cables is quite astonishing. I thought there would be some improvent over the bog standard, cheap interconnects I had, but I was quite taken aback but just how much more clarity, detail and sheer spaciousness there was to the music right from the outset. For just over £40 a pair you'd be hard pushed to find a more cost effective way to improve the sound of your hifi system.

Used to replace supplied interconnects with Marantz CD6007. These are not terrible, but there was a slight if noticeable improvement in sound using the Chord interconnects. Note that this player is quite a bright clear sound anyway, so huge improvements are not to be expected! The 1m length was appropriate for my set-up - it makes sense to keep interconnect lengths as short as practicable.These Chord interconnects seem a good match for low- to mid-price hi-fi separates.

These are great cables at first I had the cables the wrong way around because the end with the arrows going down away from you I thought they went into the amplifier but I’ve been told they go into the cd player or your record player or whatever since changing them to the right end they sound great so I give them five stars before I only gave them three stars because I had trouble getting them to work and when I did get them to work they sounded not very good but now they sound great they have brought my cds alive I didn’t think that cables can make that much difference but they do.
