Perfectly round, perfectly golden, and just the right thickness, not one of those flimsy, sad “diet” bagels that disintegrate under butter pressure. Oh no. These are sturdy units. Toast them, and they get that lovely crisp shell with a chewy middle that could make angels weep. I’ve eaten them every way imaginable: With butter, straight from the toaster (burned fingertips? worth it). With peanut butter and banana — accidentally created a religious experience. With melted cheese at midnight, standing in my kitchen like a guilty rat. They’re also weirdly filling. You think, “Oh, I’ll have two,” but by the last bite of the first, you’re questioning your life choices and considering a nap. Only downside? There are five. FIVE! Why not six, Warburtons?
