These Boao Wool and Cashmere Combs Remove Pills and Fuzz from clothing very easily. These combs, a set of 2, are simple pieces of wood with a metal mesh strip embedded on each side. They remove pills and fuzz very well. You just carefully run the comb over the fabric placed on a flat surface and the pills and fuzz simply seem to disappear. It is best not to press down hard on the fabric as you don't want to damage the fabric, only remove the pills and fuzz.I have a cherished cashmere sweater that was looking the worse for wear and I needed to defuzz it. I had a battery powered fuzz shaver but the shaver gave up after 1 session of fuzz busting. It simply would not turn on. I tried to find a replacement but didn't really like what I was finding. My DIL suggested a wool comb and I found these combs at a very reasonable price and with good reviews. I didn't want to spend a ridiculous sum to buy them. These fit the bill so I ordered them. They arrived quickly and I put them to the test immediately.I was surprised at how well they removed the pills and fuzz from the cashmere sweater and then from another sweater (an inexpensive blend of Viscose & Acrylic.) These combs work. Fine quality and not-so-fine quality fabric doesn't seem to make a difference. I am pleased how well they removed the pills and fuzz and they are well priced. Glad I found them.

It made our crappy ottoman look a little better

This totally works! I used it on a beloved alpaca/merino sweater that was COVERED in pills. It took me an hour or so, and I had a pile of fuzz about the size of my fist when I was done, but I gave my sweater a wash afterward and it looks like new! I've used it on a few of my sweaters since and have noticed that it works well on some (particularly cashmere), and less well on others (cheap wool). You do need to be a little aggressive with it on some types of sweater material and I would recommend doing a small test patch before trying it on an entire sweater.

I used one about once or twice a week for a few months and then noticed the blades were getting floppy and losing their sharpness. Then I switched to the second one, and now that one isn't effective anymore either. Does that mean they last a long time relative to the other brands' combs? I have no idea.On the positive side, when they work they work well. And I LOVE that they're not made of plastic. They even look really nice!But now I'm going to try to find something that lasts and lasts, if there is such a thing.

Strong “grabbing” tool. Great on woven fabrics but not on sweaters or stretchy knits.

I bought this specifically for heavier fleece clothing that was pilling. Works great compared to my motorized one that would clog and stop because the pieces were so big. A more rounded design would be easier to use and not catch on other parts of item when using. Feels like a large weave screen, wish I had bought the combo with one large and one fine for smaller pills. Would buy again.

Works well, but the screenlike part that does the work gets filled with the fabric and doesn't clean out. I used on a cotton sweater and a linen jacket and the only snagging issues were when I didn't grip it well

This little tool is amazing. I had spent a lot of money on an electric one and it didn't work. I tried this comb and voila, all the piling is gone!! I highly recommend this tool!
