These are great biscuits. Yes they are crunchy all the way through and not soft on the inside, but that is fine by me. I did not find them too sweet, nor - as one reviewer said - tasting like medicine. My wife likes them so that is very important too. I use them to accompany a dessert I make - cherries in drambuie, and served with double cream.
