Galaxy S6 Case, Ballistic [Tough Jacket Maxx] Six-Sided Drop Protection [White] 7ft Drop Test Certified Case Screen Protector and Holster Included for Samsung Galaxy S6 - (TX1603-A08N)

I bought two of these cases, one black, and one black and white. You'll find this same review for both...I'll cut to the chase and start with my CONCLUSION: With YouTube drop tests from 9ft onto concrete, a very slim design for a very protective rubber and plastic case, a well designed belt clip (that unfortunately covers the power button when facing outward), a lack of colors for those who would like more choices than just black or black and white, and a standard plastic screen protector, you're not likely to find a more protective case, and at less than $30, it is the best bargain I have found.DETAILED REVIEW:I spent days researching cases and screen protectors, trying to find one that not only performed well, but didn't have a lot of disadvantages and was worth the price.The Ballistic Tough Jacket Maxx for the Samsung Galaxy S6 is a very good case, with some VERY impressive tests posted on YouTube by some very reputable and thorough reviewers (who use their own personal phones performing real life tests and extreme drop tests for the IPhone version by Ballistic).The Galaxy S6 with the Tough Jacket Maxx case (this is NOT the proper case for the S6 EDGE! which has beveled screen edges) can be placed in the clip holder with the screen facing in (as recommended by a sticker in the packaging) or facing out (so you can see the screen when receiving a call or notification), but with it facing out, the power key is inaccessible. Unlike the reputable OtterBox Defender, which costs 3 times as much, is much bulkier, and whose belt clip holder holds the phone by the edges only, the entire bottom of the Tough Jacket Maxx is securely cradled by the holder. (The edge of my OtterBox belt clip for my S4 broke when dropped) I may chose in the future to Dremel out a hole, to make the power button accessible while in the holder (which I personally always leave on when I remove the phone from my person).Instead of the included plastic screen protector (which I used for a few hours) I chose to use a tempered glass screen protector (that I purchased separately) with mine, that was less susceptible to fingerprints (but MIGHT shatter). Except for the very expensive Rhino Shield and a few other impact resistant screen protectors, which show videos of being hit by a hammer with no damage to the phone, there is little difference in a screen protector's ability to protect a phone's screen. Almost every screen protector can handle light scratches by keys and other typical pocket items, but get real ugly when scratched with anything like a knife or screw driver. If almost every screen protector (including the expensive ones) will show scratches a lot worse than Gorilla Glass 4 of the Galaxy S6 does, then there's no sense in spending a lot of money on something I may end up replacing once or twice a year, so I chose a tempered glass protector (most of which come from the same manufacturer in China, on alibaba.com sold under different brand names).

A nice case that feels like it could help the S6 survive a decent fall. However the included screen protector is worrisome. I was afraid to leave it on as it feels very cheap and flimsy. it is just a hard plastic that sits above the screen held in place by the case. My concern is dust could get under it rather easily and scratch the actual display. Also it is a dust magnet. In the time I got it out of the box cleaned it and put the case together it was already covered in dust under the protector. So now it will likely be sans the screen protector however that initially was the main selling point to me was that I though I was getting an integrated screen protector with this case (Granted I know it won't substitute for a tempered glass solution but most of those I am not please at their designs at the moment)Because of this though I do not feel like the case gets a good seal around the phones display and I am sure dust will get in there over time so it would be good to disassemble it and clean it out.All in all though the actual case is great though I doubt you could pocket it (And to be fair they do give you a holster and do not advertise it as pocketable on their site)Pros: Great design; Feels durable and like it could survive a fallCons: Screen Protector is terrible and I feel is actually dangerous to the protection of the phone for every day use; Case doesn't feel as tight as I would have liked

Second one of these I've bought, First one is still in good shape after 3 years. I work in the trades and am about as hard on phones as you can get. This case blows the overpriced otterbox out of the water....those cases are crap! I had one and know first hand since it only lasted 3 months before the case literally streched out and fell off.

This case is exactly what I was hoping for. It fits like a glove, looks sharp, and doesn't add a ton of bulk to what is already a sizable phone. The exterior buttons are still quite responsive. I plan to replace the included screen protector with tempered glass for reasons of personal preference, but the included protector does not seem to interfere with the sensitivity of the screen. The one place where it gets tricky is if you have to touch something right at the edge, but that's the trade-off for having the case protrude past the screen. The case also significantly cuts down on the S6's inherent slipperiness. The rubber sleeve doesn't sag. The one test left will be once the wireless charger comes. I'm optimistic that it will work.

I've tried Otter, lifeproof, trident, and have come to this case as my go to case. Otter for the same defense is over priced and clunky. Lifeproof feels good in the hand but the screen protector is lacking to touch but hey you pay for waterproofing. I personally didn't need that feature. I just needed solid impact protection. For the money (sub $20) this case has held up for my S3 for 3 years and now on my S6. The lifetime replacement is real. I've replaced my case 3 times for damage due to my own abuse which was an easy process from their website. They will continue to earn my business. A solid product for a great price that has protected my investment for years.

Ballistic are BY FAR the best phone cases on the market and after taking my Galaxy S6 Edge out of the case after 2 and a half years of my clumsy self dropping it on concrete pretty much daily or multiple times a day, the phone literally looked brand new and the case pretty much did too.

Belt clip broke off the second day wearing it while getting into my car.The case is very, nice buttons work well through it, however it does not charge well on my Yootech wireless charger. Very slow, once not at all. Had it for 4 days

Fits and works perfectly

I bought this case for my son's phone. My son drops his phone ALL the time. This case saved his phone hundreds of times and saved me a ton of money in repairs. I will keep buying this phone case for every phone he may own in the future. I recommend it to everybody. It's the best case ever!

I had a Ballistic case for my old S3 love it. Only thin I would change about this one is the protruding corners but I think that probably increases drop protection.

Item showed up promptly and was exactly as described. The only thing I'm not wild about is the screen protector is glossy, being outside a lot I prefer mat.

Very sturdy case, I drop my phone all the time from relatively high height and it always came out unscathed.
