Excellent starter razor
I bought this for use in a travel kit to complement an Edwin Jagger DE89, but having tried it I think I could happily use it as my only razor. It gives a mild shave, fairly similar in aggressiveness to the DE89. It has an aluminium handle and a two piece head cast (a bit crudely with a rough finish at the edges of the casting) from a heavier metal, so it feels a bit head heavy at first compared with the well balanced DE89. I soon adjusted to this however, and for me it produces a very good result. Total weight of the razor is 44g, so quite light (The DE89 is 66g).This is a cheap razor, and it shows in the finish in places, but don't let that put you off, particularly if you are looking for a starter double edge razor - for five pounds including postage this is exceptional value.

Good quality and good price
I bought this razor because it is more ecological than plastic disposable ones. You have to be more careful when shaving but I am quite happy with it, and using this, I will not buy anymore plastic razors, as you can change the blades.

Shavng your head bald - It's Ok
This item is pretty OK:POSITIVES:1) The price can't be argued seems to be cheapest on Amazon and eBay.2) The head of the razor is built to a good solid quality.3) Nice long handle, but this is personal pref, some.like.long and others short.NEGATIVES:1) When using it there is a slight feel of dragging, which puts you a tad on edge as feels your.going to cut self. Edit: After speaking with the seller, I tried a couple different blades and still found it to be abit "draggy" compared to that gliding feelnim used to. This maybe down to it being closed comb finish , which yes is meant to be a gentle finish but for me just was not working2) The handle actual is a cheap plastic , spray painted looking thing, where as the head is solid chrome finish metal, so that makes it feel cheaper (not sure how long the handle with last, will update.) Edit: Having spoke with seller the handle is in fact aluminium, there is a distinct different from the head to the body but the manufacture has marked these as eco and affordable, so baring that in mind these cuts and compromises are to be expected.Overall the seller was very polite and open and honest, so gave them one extra star for their customer service. it will do the job for the majority of people out there and if you want food shave for a very good price this is your guy, but for myself I've come to realise my needs are more mid range and as such will need to pay for something more that level.

Absolute rubbish
Thin metal and badly designed - doesn't hold the blade steady, so you can be pretty sure you'll have a sore face and several cuts after every shave.I bought this for a holiday washbag. When I got home it went straight in the bin. It's this kind of garbage that gives safety razors a bad name.

Great razor, and better for the environment than them disposable razors, so it's a win win. Thanks.
