I’ve never had much luck with the most common types of litter mats (the honeycomb pattern ones that you “pour” out or the rubbery squiggle ones). Someone online recommended I try this type of rug for a litter mat, and it’s been great so far. I don’t think you’ll ever eliminate cats from dragging bits of litter to random corners of the house, but this has definitely helped. It’s also very easy to clean either by vacuuming or shaking it off outside.

I bought this first for a vacation place, and a second time for home. The second time, it came folded in teh package. Tyring to block that out with some weights. I hope the fold crease isn't permanent. Otherwise, it's very nice looking and very nice to have for the cat.

Our cat loves it! She has been scratching on it instead of the foam, where the mat is placed. I have five of these in different places in our house and our cat always use it to scratch and stretch. I didn't adhere it on anything but I'm just giving 5 stars because it won't let me skip.

The media could not be loaded.  When my cats get locked outside of a room, they scratch at the carpet. They’ve already done enough damage, so we are trying to mitigate further damage. The adhesion isn’t great, thus the loss of a star (it has moved out of place a few times, making it not as helpful), but it’s good enough. And this fits the entry of my door (and the door glides over it) perfectly! I need to get two more for the other rooms because these cats are monsters lol.

My cats don’t seem to like sisal except when it’s on a post but at the very least it’s kept them from clawing the carpet to my closet. I have it at the threshold half in and half out. Low profile enough it doesn’t affect the door. And it’s not unattractive like the dual sided tapes and other remedies I’ve tried!

Exactly as described. I think other reviews were also accurate with regard to this product. I received it, and I was under the impression it would come with catnip, but it did not. That was no problem however because I had some. I rub the catnip in and my cat loved rolling on it, which surprised me because she’s not big on cabinet. I think the mat had a lot to do with it. However, she’s always been a cardboard scratcher girl I guess. She is a rescue and I know the rescue had cardboard scratchers. I put this down and she didn’t know what to do with it except roll on it and enjoy it . I tried to show her how to scratch her closet on it, but I’m a failure as a cat who needs her claws sharpened. I ended up putting her cardboard mat on it, And it holds the cardboard scratcher in place because of the little rubber dots at the bottom of the sisal mat. Probably should have returned it, but I did like the alternate purpose it served and it is attractive to hold the cardboard cat scratcher.

Disappointed with this item. It arrived folded in half, so now there is a ridge in the middle, it came with other items but for the size of the box it could easily have been rolled. The mat itself is nothing special for the money, quite lightweight, but it does stay put. I have sprayed the item well with cat nip as suggested, but both my cats have ignored it completely and prefer the staircarpet. I'm now going to invest in anti scratch tape!

Like most comments in the reviews .. the mat is spoiled because it has been folded not rolled. I sent for it thinking that the problem would have been put right .. but it has not, this needs to be put right.

So far so good. The mat was only down for a short while and the cat used it almost immediately. Hopefully this will deter her from scratching my sofa, although I'm abit reluctant to remove the throw/s until I'm sure she has stopped the habit. I guess this will be a slow process.

After nearly 2 months of use this item it looks as good as new. Used daily by both cats, they give it a good going over. Very happy with this purchase.

Although this mat is as it claims, I'm afraid that to date my cat has totally ignored it and continues to claw the carpet. Hopefully she will start to use it.
