Miracle-Gro EverGreen Multi Purpose Lawn Seed 210 g - 7m2

The first time I bought a 420g box of this lawn seed. The packaging date was only 6 months earlier. The lawn came up really well with thick healthy grass.I then bought a large box, 1.6kg. The packaging date was a year earlier. This also came up really well with lovely healthy grass. Both of these boxes were from Amazon.As I was so impressed with the lawn, I bought another 1.6kg box. This time I purchased it from Premium Products WB. However, the packaging date on this box was over two years old! When I tried to grow a lawn with this seed, the grass seed did not grow at all. It was clearly a box of dead seeds.So I wasted £18 on dead seed from Premium Products WB and then bought another box sold by Amazon, expecting it to be no more than a year old again. Unfortunately this box was 18 months old. I have decided to return it and not waste more money on old seed that may or may not grow.So my advice is that when you receive your grass seed, check the packaging date on the base and if it is more than a year old, return it. I wish I had returned the 2 year old box as I literally ended up with nothing for my money.But if you get a good box that is no more than a year old, you could end up with a lovely healthy lawn as my first boxes gave me.

I overdid it on the weed and feed a while ago and therefore had to buy some seed to fill in the gaps which were scorched, the back garden has far better soil so I started to see shoots appear in 5 days and they grow quick! The front garden took two attempts but the soil quality isn't brilliant. Took a bit longer to see the shoots but grows quickly once the shoots have taken!

Some grass seeds don't grow - this one does. Happy with my product and with new patches of green lawn!

There's a lot of bad reviews on this product saying that the seeds don't work. I couldn't help but notice though that those reviews were from people re-seeding in March & April. If those people are in the UK then I'm not surprised none of their seeds germinated, this is way too early for the UK. This year in particular, night-frosts only stopped from 1st week of May.In the box though you are getting pretty average grass seeds and re-seeding/over-seeding at low temperatures will result in a very low-yield. I've used these seeds in the scorching summer before (whilst watering regularly out of direct sunlight) and you will see these seeds germinate in as little as 3 days. It's the heat and the water that make the seed casing super soft and they germinate super quickly.I spread a box of these on a small patch in early may and they took about 14 days to germinate, it was still a little too cold 1st week of may though so I wasn't expecting much to be honest.I noticed on the box it suggests these can be sown from March to October which I think is catching people out. That might be the case for some countries but definitely not for the UK. Here it will be more like May - October.Overall, you get what you pay for I think. It's in a nice box which you can easily use to spread. If you are a keen gardener though and want to reseed your lawn and have gone to to the trouble of scarifying and aerating then you shouldn't buy these... go and buy some premium seeds instead.PS. Make sure you press the seeds into wet soil (even if you are overseeding). It will be slightly warmer for them and when they germinate they need good contact with the soil. Also use a very fine spray when watering otherwise you will dislodge the seeds.

Great little product that does everything it says it will. My garden was in disarray after years of having an 8ft swimming pool and a trampolines. We purchased turf but had bald patches, after using this product it is now suitable for tennis! The box opens easily and sprinkles the seeds evenly due to its easy to use distribution. After 8-10 days seedling appeared and now my garden is looking lush and green. The packaging includes a spreader on the lip which means you can sprinkle the seed everywhere and plenty to go around

Not fast enough though wish it was pigeon proof.

Grass seeds were brilliant, first 2 pictures are from when I put the grass seeds down on the 16th Aug and the last 2 pictures are from today 29th Sept. Only took 6 weeks. I did have to add more seeds for the patchy parts over the last few weeks but really pleased with how the lawn is now looking. Would definitely recommend these grass seeds, easy to use and new lawn only took 6 weeks.

Does what it says great fine structure of the seeds. Easy to use good instructions. with in a week the fist specks of green.

Sono molto contenta, questi semi hanno funzionato. Ho un giardinetto con una terra "povera", metà in ombra, metà al sole cuocente, su entrambi i lati è ricresciuta una bellisma erba fitta. Tra mettere i semi e vedere il primo centimetro di verde sono trascorsi 2 settimane. Sono molto soddisfatto e lo raccomando a chiunque ha un giardino "difficile" da tenere bello.

Que dire de graines qui viennent d'être semées? Il faudra donc attendre la pousse et s'assurer que l'accrochage se fait de sorte que les enfants puissent jouer sur la pelouse sans la détruire. Evaluation qui sera peaufinée plus tard.
