Material is great! Easy to clean and very vibrant color! Loved it so much. I ordered the collar and the leash.

I've had leather leashes that ranged from 1" wide to just under 1/2" over the last 30 years, upon Garrett Wing's recommendation I gave the Jim Hodges leash a try. Yes, it is everything as advertised. It's durable, water resistant, easy to clean. It's quite capable of holding a 100lb German Shepherd in his prime and yet firm enough for quick reactions. I have one leather leash that is over 30yrs old and still quite nice as it's been well-maintained. I'm expecting this leash to last as long or longer with no maintenance.

I love the feel of this material. It just has a quality feel and stiffness that holds its shape. It's gummy enough for a nice solid grip without being sticky. Easy to clean and I love that they added the metal ring in the handle that allows you to clip the ends together for hanging it up or wearing over your shoulder. I have a feeling this one is going to last a long time, especially since the dog is no longer allowed to chew on it!!

I recently ordered multiple leashes for my dogs, and I must say, I am extremely impressed by the quality and durability of this product. I have been looking for a leash that is both secure and comfortable for my dogs, and this one most definitely fits the bill.The leash itself seems to be made of high-quality rubber with a non-slip surface that makes it easier to grip. The collar clip is extremely secure and seems to hold up well to pullers.I appreciate the time and attention to detail put into making these. I went ahead and purchased a martingale style collar for my dogs from this business as well. Unfortunately, there seems to have been a mix up with my order, and Amazons shipping partner ended up delivering it to the wrong address, providing me with a wrong delivery picture. However, I would most definitely order from Jim Hodges more often. Thanks !

Love how long it and and it cleans soooo easy. No stinky leash issue now

It was expensive and heavier than flat nylon leashes but it washed off to look brand new again! Excellent investment and quality! My dog doesn't tend to pull excessively but I'd expect this leash, especially the wider ones, to withstand the strongest puller. If you have a 150lb mastiff, get the larger and heavier model but the one i have should be great for any average, even big, dog under all but the most extreme situation! A high quality product! Doesn't knot or tangle. A dog could chew through it but you likely wouldn't tie a dog who chews with it. It's not a tie out and any dog can get frustrated at being left or confined and resort to chewing the offending line. But that's on the owner, not the quality of leash! Can't imagine a better product, it's great!

I am a dog trainer and work in a canine facility. I have seen nearly every type of leash imaginable.These leashes are top quality, nearly indestructible, and very easy to clean. They don’t tangle or get soaked in the rain, and the loop at the handle lets you use it to tie to a pole or other anchor.I highly recommend this product. I purchased the 4ft and 6ft (5/8”) versions for different situations when I’m out with my pup. When I’m in the city I want to use a shorter leash, and when I’m at the park or in a less crowded place I like to use a longer leash.This product is worth every penny. Shipping was quick and easy.

The buckle gives up when dog pulls and the dog is released from leash when this happens. It is really dangerous. The buckle is so bad that it gives up every time dog pulls hard. I don't recommend it.

Love everything about it, accept the brass buckle comes undone ? Often when my dog shakes, I think it knocks the lever. Anyone else have this issue ? Hope it can be fixed.
