Misleading photo
The photo is misleading. I was looking for a free size, sliding belt that has a locking mechanism. Unfortunately this one is a regular belt with holes. The photo or the description does not tell you that. Also, the length is smaller than I would have expected. I ordered the 34" one and though the belt fits me, there is hardly any free length available after I buckle it up.It is not a bad purchase, the same belt was available for twice the cost in the retail store. However it's not what I wanted.

Looks GREAT, however it splits apart after 1-3 months of usage.
Look, I wanted to give this 5 stars, I really did. The belt looks GREAT. It was quickly my favorite belt to wear, at least until it split apart. Like the other reviewers have mentioned, the belt splits apart after 1-3 months of usage. For me it took 3 months. But some of these reviewers have belts that split apart in less than a month. The belt itself felt sturdy and really doesn't look or feel cheap. So I was shocked when I noticed it was splitting apart. Very disappointed in Kenneth Cole, usually they're known for top quality products.

Less than one year later, this belt is falling apart!
I purchased this belt in 2017 to replace another Kenneth Cole belt, but it turned out to be a poor choice. I had hoped the holed end of the belt would have gone behind the buckle and the belt like the other KC belt I have, but not this one. Also, the 1.5 inch belt width is too wide for most of the belt loops on the dress pants I wear. However, what really drove me to give this belt 2/5 stars (and I'm being generous) was that one side of the belt (the black leather side) has started to split apart from the rest of the belt. I'm not sure if the leather bonding material or the type of leather they used is to blame--the black leather seems to be softerand more flexible and "stretchier" than the brown leather side. This means that you can't let the belt hang down straight or lie flat because that will cause the black leather layer to warp and come apart from the rest of the belt. Going to look for a replacement leather belt (no buckle) to replace the defective piece of "leather" that came with this belt.

Change in quality over the years
I've purchased two of these belts over the years, once roughly 6 years ago and another this year. Something changed in the manufacturing of this belt between those two purchases. The first item didn't have a lot of issues, the belt slid through the buckle fine without a lot of rubbing on the sides. It took a little effort to flip the buckle to use the other side of the belt, but that's the way it should be.The new belt has trouble sliding through the buckle, but with time it gets better as it wears in. The back side of the buckle is a different color than the previous version, leading me to believe that it is different. The most noticeable part is how much easier it is to flip the buckle. Unfortunately, that means when you were this belt at the appropriate setting, the buckle is slightly extended and creates a rattling noise when you walk. In fact, every step creates a little rattle like change and keys mixing in your pocket.I don't believe this is due to a defective belt that I may have received, it seems like an issue with the design of it. It's still a nice looking belt and is fine for use in particular areas, but may not be ideal in a quiet office.2 MONTH UPDATE:The belt looks the same, but it actually rattles more. I'd stay away from this belt. While it does look nice, it's a poor quality belt.

... the last 15+ months and it has held up great. I have sized down a fair bit during ...
It died quickly following my previous review. It was a fine belt, but definitely not something for daily use for a year or two if you are using it to keep your pants up rather than just a loosely worn accessory.Previous review at 4 stars-I have worn this belt 3-5 days per week for the last 15+ months and it has held up great. I have sized down a fair bit during that time so each belt loop has had some wear, but the final one seems to not be stretching/tearing quickly by any means. The belt buckle has had paint wear off so it shows plain metal through a bit, but it doesn't look too bad for over a year later using a cheap belt. I would recommend ordering a size up so there is a bit more length left over, but it is a style preference and not a necessity.

It looks good, but it will fall apart fast.
I was enticed because this seemed like one of the better choices for a reversible belt. The reviews were high and the style was to my liking and the price was where it's at.Be forewarned though that looks are deceiving. This belt is poorly made and the two sides will separate withing a week or so of normal usage. Hell, I use this belt maybe two to three times a week, on rotation with other belts and it still fell apart.I am not sure what type of glue they used to hold this belt together, but I'm convinced they used a cheap glue-stick.Anyways, with all the positive reviews, I am sure many of you will still buy this belt. Read all the other reviews - they pretty much all say the same thing.Find another belt, or buy a bottle of Gorilla glue along with this belt so you can glue it back together when it does fall apart. Also this belt scuffs easily so don't clip badges to it (I'll take the heat for that one).

Is it counterfeit?
I had the same Kenneth Cole belt for several years and was only looking to replace it because I had scratched the belt buckle doing some construction work. This appeared to be exactly the same. However, within weeks of normal wear, this one started falling apart. The layers are separating. This one was made in Guatemala and the last one I had that has held up for years was made in China. This is either a counterfeit or the quality control has gone way down! I'm very disappointed.

Poor Quality Kenneth Cole Belt
I bought this belt because of the brand of and how it looked. Upon receiving the item, it felt very good and looked really classy. However, after only two days of wearing it, the belt came off at the seams. I was very surprised at this, because it stated that the belt was genuine leather. Now it looks like I'm back to searching for another belt.

Me encantó
Simplemente impresionante.
