Flexible enough to feel comfortable but feels sturdy enough to be effective. Straps fasten behind ears, middle strap between the eyes does not have pre cut holes to attach to, so you have to force it in a spot between the fibers of the strap attached behind the ears. Middle strap is the most complicated part in my opinion. I got xxl for my 140lb Great Dane, and it barely fits- I wish there was a size bigger. This is my first muzzle purchase like this, so I don’t have others to compare to, but I think the middle strap could use a better design. .

I have a 140lb daniff and it took forever to find one that fit him. This one does a great job and still let's me rub his nose and cheeks to calm him. He hates wearing it for any length of time, but this one is easy to put on and I worked with him by putting treats in the bottom of it till he willing went in it. Then started fastening it.

Nobody would enjoy being muzzled. But there are times it may be the best option available. My dog is not aggressive and does not "bite", but he is very playful and quite "mouthy". This muzzle has helped him curtail the use of his mouth on everything and everyone. It fits him well and does not chafe or pinch, but he absolutely hates having it on. As he is now about a year and a half old, he is starting to leave the puppy stage and getting less mouthy. We haven't used the muzzle on him for 2 or 3 months now.This past summer, we took a long road trip and used it a couple of times when he was near strangers and other animals, but only until he got over his excitement at meeting them.This device is simple to adjust and put on. Your worst chore will be getting the dog to cooperate, if he/she doesn't like it. I do not recommend a muzzle when the dog is not supervised.The reviews can vary because there are many types of dogs with many different shapes of head and snout. It would be impossible to design one type to fit all dogs. My dog is a 50 lb. mutt with a medium length snout and this fits him well. He is agitated for the first 5 or 10 minutes of wearing it, but then accepts his fate and settles down.The construction of the muzzle seems strong and durable. The strap could use some refinement, but is functional.Overall, I am pleased with the ZEUS Alpha TPR Muzzle and would likely buy it again if I needed it for another dog. I would have given 5 stars if the strap had been a little better.As with all my reviews, I will update this if and when my opinion changes.

I bought the smallest muzzle available that says it is for 5-15 lb. dogs. It did not even fit the face of the 9 lb. dog it was meant for and was much much too big. The rubber smell was also quite strong which made her shy away from it.

I ordered a small. The picture looked like my dog so I ordered it because anything xs I order for him is always too small. This thing fits over his whole head almost. I'd suggest a size smaller than what your dog is. Seems thick and reliable. I ordered an xs. Let's see how that one fits when it gets here tomorrow.

The media could not be loaded.  The muzzle itself is great! It comfortably allows your dog to breathe/eat/drink. I use this muzzle to train her off leash and I can give her treats through it and she still has space to breathe and pant when she’s getting good exercise.The only thing I would emphasize is if you’re thinking of getting your dog a muzzle for the first time, make sure you take 2-3 weeks to properly condition them to the muzzle. My dog gets excited when I grab her muzzle because she knows we’re going out to walk/exercise. There are YouTube/TikTok videos on how to properly condition your dog. Once conditioned, your dog will love it and be comfortable with it.

First impressions: The material seems to be quite durable and strong. On my smaller Yorkshire-Terrier Mix, it fits very well (mind you, I bought an X-Small) and comfortably, allowing my dog to open her mouth and breath without obstruction while the basket style muzzle protects others from her mouth. The muzzle includes a strap at the front that hooks onto the back strap, over the dog's head, which secures it and prevents it from flying off when my dog shakes her head. However, because her head is smaller, it does seem to be a little heavy on her head. But it is not too heavy to prevent her from holding her head up. For a larger dog, I think this muzzle would be more comfortable in terms of this point.Tip! Make sure you measure your dog's snout for the best fit. I bought a small without measuring and that did not fit well, ended up returning it.
