Good hammer
Nice hammer. Not too much you can say. It has held up well to some abuse so far though.

Heavy Duty Craftsman Hammer
I chose the Craftsman hammer over others because of the quality of most products under this brand name including this hammer. And with that in mind, this hammer is an incredible purchase with its heavy duty weight, great craftsmanship and good value for the price. I used it to secure galvanized nails and it was a breeze to do so with its superior hammering ability. This hammer will surely last through many projects without any problem.

This is a terrific hammer!
I haven't had my own place since 2012.As soon as I moved in, I knew I needed a hammer, so I bought this one, and was totally pleased with how I am able to hammer with it.Quite versatile. Not only can I hang pictures, and make noise, but I can also do other non-construction tasks, such as crushing walnuts or tenderizing meat!Today, I got impatient with hanging a curtain rod, which came with screws, but I've found that I can also pound a screw into the wall with it!I have a drill, but the curtain rod came with screws, and anchors, which I wasn't sure how to use...So I pounded the screw through the drywall to make the initial hole, and then I placed in the anchor, and THEN I used the drill to screw it in.It worked brilliantly! Also, I keep it hidden near my bedside in case of an intruder. It's got enough weight that would pack quite a wallop to any potential physical threats while I am alone without a man in this house.I'm not sure if my technique with the curtain was necessarily advisable, but it seemed to work.I'm just happy to have a hammer in my house!I made brownies with walnuts, and it was easy to sufficiently pulverize them.Every home should have a hammer. You know what else I need?A pair of pliers.I'm sure Amazon will have them...

Top value basic hammer
Great quality considering the price (often well under 10 bucks). Better machining of the head than some hammers that cost twice as much. The handle is very comfortable and does a decent job of absorbing shock. The "overstrike" protection appears to simply be a little bit of thickened plastic, but better than nothing - fiberglass on the inside so overall durability is fine. Perfect budget hammer for DIY home use. Now if they'd just make the same thing (16 oz.) in a rip claw...

A good hammer at a good price.
This was offered at a good price so I bought two. I will probably sell one at a yard sale. I like the heft of it, the length of the handle for swinging and the rubber wrap for gripping.
