HodgeSilk Alto Saxophone Swab - Purple

Very absorbent and goes through the body, neck, and mouthpiece very easily.

This cloth actually works better for my tenor sax than the larger one I bought that was designed for a tenor. It fits through the neck and mouthpiece better than the larger cloth, and the cord is long enough to use with a tenor too. It dries much faster than other cloths I have used. This is the best way to clean out your sax, especially if you keep it on a stand when not playing it. But it's also great to use before jamming one of those felt rods down the horn and packing it in your case. I simply wrap it in a dry cloth before packing it into my case so the case doesn't get damp, then hang it out to dry when I get home.

Very nice material quality BUT even after 4-5 swabs there is still bit moisture at the exact bottom of the Bow.Workaround: I push around the cloth with pad saver to make a rubbing action, which then soak the moisture.Apart from that, it pulls easily from bell through neck of my Alto sax. Does not get caught while pulling, smooth exit.Dries quickly too.

I use this on my Selmer alto. It works smoothly and most importantly it never gets stuck. Nice long weighted cord.

I purchased this for my son's first year in band. He really enjoyed the purple color and the fact that it was different from the ordinary cream. He can easily identify it add his own. The band director said it was exactly what was required to clean his sax! It came quickly and was as described by the seller. Very satisfied.
