Value, value, value! Never thought I’d love this slightly shimmery black shadow considering I’m a huge fan of Sephora but I’ve tried more expensive brands and overall, this goes on so smoothly and the color is totally buildable as the powder shadow is finer than most brands. Hence, it does dust more than other shadows - figure out what’s more important, smoother application or spillover dust. For me, 100% application over some shadow spilling on my vanity. Moreover, it’s versatile. You can use a thin eyeshadow sponge for lining and a thicker one as shadow. Covergirl, who would’ve thunk?!?

When I received the eye shadow and it had been miss handled a d was all broken up. I notified company and I had my replacement the next day. Thank you!! I absolutely love this color....and it stays on alllll day!!

This is only a shimmer finish, which as an "older" woman does not look good on my eyelids anymore. I do realize the word shimmer is in the product description, but also the word matte. So I was hoping it would be on the matte side. It's not. I'm just not bothering to return it, but not sure I'll ever use it. I only put it on the one time, so mabye I'll pass it on to someone else. If you like shimmer, it's a nice eye shadow. Just not what I was hoping for.

I really like this color. I have trouble finding blue eyeshadow - so I ordered 2 of these. Go on your eyelids very smooth!

I would like to state that the color of the shadow does not apply as dark as it appears. The "darkness" is more subtle once it's actually applied to the skin; I provided a picture that shows this. I don't like using bold eyeshadows - I just like enough to give definition and contrast to my fair skin. I have been using this specific shadow color for nearly three years and continue to love it. I tried changing one time and was sorely disappointed and immediately returned to the Tapestry Taupe color.Yeah yeah yeah, Covergirl may not be thee 'nontoxic make-up' brand, but I’ve learned that it can sometimes be more toxic to be so overly staunch about the ingredients. Make-up is just not the hill I'm willing to die on. If I like a certain make-up and it applies well, lasts all day, and is reasonably priced, I will continue to buy and use it.
