Storey is conveniently presented in two parts: Part 1 of the volume is a “Book of Hours” that provides a guide for prayer in five “hours” throughout the day, to be prayed over the course of a week. It also offers a flexible alternative version of the hours that can be said on any day of the week. Part 2 includes a collection of Catholic devotions expressing reverence to the Eucharist, Jesus, Mary, and the Holy Spirit. Throughout the book, readers experience the heart and soul of Catholic Christianity. Review: Great book to increase your prayer life’ - My friend loved her book. Great guide to increase your prayer life. Review: A wonderful way to begin praying the hours - Father Storey's "A Catholic Book of Hours and Other Devotions" has proved for me to be the perfect way to begin praying the hours on a regular basis. I have tried "Shorter Christian Prayer" and the "Little Office of the Blessed Virgin" but couldn't quite stick with them. But I'm doing quite well with Father Storey's book. A few reasons: Brevity. The average hour takes only ten to fifteen minutes, read in a deliberate, meditative way. I have no excuses not to find this kind of time. No flipping around. Everything is very linear, no need for ribbon markers. One bookmark will do. Beautiful, meaningful, contemporary words. The hymns, prayers and readings are carefully chosen, and stick with a consistent theme. Finally, the book is a very nice physical companion. The cover is a very durable imitation leather with a substantial "feel". The pages are of substanial weight, with nice rounded corners, and the fonts are extremely clear and readable. I'm very pleased with this little volume, a great little investment, which is reaping real dividends for me. ## Features - 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed ! - Material: Leatherette - 4" W x 6 1/4" H; 386 pgs ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #135,069 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #369 in Christian Prayer Books (Books) #1,144 in Catholicism (Books) #1,895 in Christian Inspirational | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 269 Reviews | ## Images ![A Catholic Book of Hours and Other Devotions - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51UV21tpTuL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great book to increase your prayer life’ *by S***E on April 2, 2026* My friend loved her book.
