This cable has weight
I upgraded from traditional plastic fiber to this glass optical cable. It is easily 3 times the weight. I tested a variety Dolby Vision test videos using Atmos. The glass brings out vocals and timbre that I did notice in my plastic fiber. IMO it's worth the price for the 12ft for less mud in my Music. You won't notice if you only play PCM but you should pull the trigger if you enjoy uncompressed as I do.

Real Glass
The cable seems to be fine and is thick. The plugs fit my amp snuggly and do not try to come out like cheaper cables. I don't see any real difference between glass and composite cables though. I had to try so I could see for myself. I think it's one of those things where if you think it's working, it's working. After all, it only sends 1's and 0's to your amp. I'm still using the cable and have it routed so it doesn't get moved or disturbed. It will break if handled roughly.
