Hockey Full Shield Visor FV1 (Junior)

Mask is great. Works well. Little difficult to put on but once on looks great !!

I am new to hockey so this was my first time doing anything to a helmet it was easy and the directions were easy to follow

My boys love this shield. Spray with a little pledge and it doesn’t fog up. Great quality

My husband fixes things for a living and it took him an hour (any many curse words) to install this face shield. Ear flaps go on the inside and snaps are much easier than the old wire visor. My nine year old can actually snap them on his own. Just beware it is not easy to install but can be done.

Anyone who is saying its hard to install or the screws are not long enough, didn't look at the diagram in the instructions. This visor doesn't install like standard cages where the screws are above the cage, this one you have to put out the screws/screwdriver through a gap at the top of the visor. In essence everyone who has issues is trying to use the mounting hardware upside-down/backwards. I had read other reviews and was almost scared away but those people but it was a standard cage/visor install

CCM has lost their mind if the included screws to attach the front are supposed to work. The only way I could see them working is if the mask and joint pieces were completely compressed, which is nearly impossible do to how much everything slides when you attach pressure to try and get the screw to meet the helmet threads. Get screws that are nearly twice as long and it will be a piece of cake. In addition, there was one too few screws for the side panel attachments. I had to order a hockey mask repair kit just to get an additional screw. Also, the mask doesn’t come with snap inserts for the chin straps to be secured. Have to utilize the repair kit for that as well. Overall it’s great and my son loves it, and it’s a solid replacement for the old cage. Nice and clear, has a satisfying resistive open and shut design, but CCM could have been more thoughtful. This was sloppy.

Unfortunately, I received my package later than originally expected. Upon opening the package, I could immediately tell the box had previously been opened and parts were missing. I had to use parts from my own personal “helmet fix-it kit” to install my shield. There was NO hardware in my package. This was definitely a USED item, not a NEW item as advertised. If I could give 1/2 star, I would. Shield itself looks and fits great. Overall, “Booooooo”!

Very hard to install. We wound up needing longer screws. Got them at the skate shop. Works perfectly after that though.
