I walk many miles at work, my feet, like most peoples, has flaws, these pad work

I avulsed my big toenail... and yes, it's not fun. I have latex allergies, so I am cautious, and I needed to wear my normal shoes, if possible. Thankfully, ice & heat routines have minimized swelling. This said, my toe bed is still tender when the re-laid toenail is jostled. I needed something that wouldn't accumulate sweat too badly in Florida, while holding up to a teacher's day.These work wonderfully!!!They stretch open, but are genuinely gentle on my toe. The sides have breathing holes, so moisture is minimized. They stick to the tape I use to secure them (I love barefoot walking, and actively use my toes walking - even shoed). The caps also hold up well to triple antibiotic ointment as well as hot dishsoap cleaner. The silicone cap is thinner than gauze bandages, washable and reusable when not damaged. I have torn one catching my toe on yet another thing, but if it wasn't for the cap, I am sure it wouldn't have been pretty. They are mostly comfortable under socks in normal flat tennis shoes.Also, the price is reasonable if I felt the need to dispose of them daily. I do wash them twice daily and shower in them. I think knowing I can still be environmentally friendly is helpful.

I bought these for my big toes because when I walk barefoot, I tend of wear the skin on my big toes and they eventually peel, causing an extreme discomfort/pain, and can even lead to bleeding. Typically when I know I'm going on vacation and it's likely I will be walking at times without flip-flops or shoes I will use bandaids and waterproof tape to wrap my big toes to avoid this. I bought these big toe protectors in the hope that they would provide the same protection without the need fir bandaids and waterproof tape.Well, they do stay on my toes just fine while walking around barefoot on carpet or pavement, but as soon as I step into a pool or the gulf of mexico they fall right off. Fortunately, THEY FLOAT! Both times they came off, they popped up right next to me. I did not try to tape these on with the waterproof tape, but there's a good chance that would have helped. Overall, I switched back to bandaids for the rest of my vacation, but for the price I wouldn't complain about having them. Give it a shot, but keep in mind you may lose some of them along the way.

Was intrigued that they can “breathe” but the lack in thickness and durability doesn’t supersede the main reason I gave these a try.I put one on my big toe this past weekend as remedy for blister and it split, which made in non effective in about 3-4 hours after putting it on. I had Brooks running shoes on, my foot traffic was minimal that day and would hate to see how long they last if I had to do much walking. I wear a men’s size 11 shoe and these felt great for a few hours.

So far so good. I overnighted these after an accident caused my big toe mail to be ripped out. I put the antibiotic, Vaseline, a piece of non-stick gauze pad then wrapped with once piece of gauze to secure everything before putting this sleeve on.So far it’s been on about 5 hours and not sliding off. It’s very stretchy so didn’t hurt the nail bed when I applied it. This is a size L from what the box says.What I like is that it’s holding the gauze secure without allowing the gauze to rub against the nail bed which was so painful. Much much better with this silicon toe cover.They do rip if you stretch too much but so far, I love it!

It takes some getting used to but you will never loose a big toe nail again.

I recently had a serious surgery on my big toe which resulted in the toe ending up a half an inch shorter and I was told by my Doctor that this would happen because of the situation with my toe . Someone told me to buy some toe caps so I found some and got them. I was hopeful that I this would help my problem since it is difficult to walk with a short toe. They were too tight and they rubbed on the scar below the toe and caused pain and irritation. They only come in 1 size so they were not suitable for me. Now I'm making an effort to adjust how I walk. The Doctor told me it will become easier with time. They probably would work for others, just not for me.

After losing half of my toenail to nail fungus, I wanted to protect the tender skin on my big toe. This pack of 10 toe covers is perfect! They are extremely comfortable, and stay in place all day. I don't use them in my tennis shoes, but I have used them with flip flops, sandals, and water shoes. They even stay on in the swimming pool and white water rafting! Once all 10 have been used, I wash them in a sink full of hot soapy water. I also use a fungal spray on them to prevent further spread of my nail fungus.
