A Year's Worth of Daily Inspiration
I love how Mina Samuels weaves her ideas on our world with interviews of a diverse and admirable group of women. Mina knows that we have struggled in our careers, faced our fears of failing, failed anyway; but continued trying and finally were successful with our goals. Mina beautifully writes how our successes (even small ones) have served to motivate our friends, colleagues and families. This book gives you the sense that all of our efforts were worthwhile. While this book is written calendar style, I found myself jumping around & re-reading sections that spoke to me that day. I highly recommend this book.

Aspirational and relatable
A reflection a day - great way to get a dose of inspiration — whether to put on your running shoes or confront any kind of project. I feel the author’s compassion and spirit. She clearly walks the walk here - or I should I say runs the run!

Heavy book
I was hoping for a fun inspirational book to help me be excited about running during the year. This is not a fun book. It is fairly serious and deep.

A Guide for Women Athletes Seeking Wholeness
Mina Samuels in her entries each day, in a poetic, artful and engaging way advocates an authentic life that embraces the mess, the complexity, and the contradictions of life encouraging personal transformation through the daily experiences and the awareness of who we are. Some of the insights achieved by the practices recommended in this book lead us to engage with the world, pay attention, challenge our bodies and minds to be stronger and happier, access our ageless girl- spirit and work within our communities, families and friends to gain greater awareness of our complete potential for living joyfully. Enjoy the photographs that align to the daily entries and discover that it is everything in life, movement, music, nature and love that guide us to appreciate and to grow with gratitude and to move in sync with the rhythm of life. An unusual approach to understanding the power and full scope of women's potential as both athletes and dynamic beings and their connection to the world and universal forces. Well Done!

For Every Woman
The title could be a little intimidating...who runs 365 days a year? But the book is for every woman (or man) who is endeavoring to find purpose, strength, balance, identity & of course, a healthy lifestyle. Reading this book - in its diary-like format - is like having a friend at your side or a motivational coach whispering in your ear to inspire us, challenge us, question our fears & obstacles, & most importantly, to feel good about ourselves no matter what kind of movement we do every single day. There are personal anecdotes from a variety of women, philosophical musings & some scientific data that lets us know that are bodies hold so much potential to unleash our best selves.

A Book for Today
In Run Like A Girl 365 Days a Year, author and athlete Mina Samuels beguilingly displays her both her foibles and considerable strengths, including how she has learned to use the former to fuel the latter. Samuels is not afraid to take risks either on the trail or on the page, and the result is a beautiful evocation of woman strength. Engaging, well-written, with handsome photo illustrations.
