Most neck gaiters are made durable. This one is not. Imagine the following production sequence: (1) make really cool looking fabric. (2) sew a tube. (3) cut sections from tube to make smaller tubes. (4) make an Amazon listing and call them neck gaiters.This product was a huge disappointment because it doesn't appear to be finished. The edge of the fabric has frays. It literally looks like someone cut fabric and didn't feel like spending the extra time (or money) to finish out the ends for durability.Furthermore, the fabric is nothing special. How do I know that this is UPF 50? The fabric protects my neck from the sun and that in itself is supposed to be called something special? If anyone else has bought this, you likely understand my remark. This piece was not worth the price. I could have figured out how to sew a tube with fabric from a local fabric store.The only thing that makes this 2 star is that the fabric has a nice design. I've honestly since gone to a local store and bought a product for the same cost and much better quality. For those of you curious and shopping possibly for the first time, the brand is Reel Legends and I bought it at Bealls. If you don't live in Florida, your local fishing or tackle shop would likely have the same thing.

Like the other reviewer said......this is an unfinished looking 'tube' of very light see through type material. This is certainly not of the quality of other balaclavas I have purchased here. (Hike Valley or Self Pro are much much better quality all around.) This so called protective balaclava looks as though someone used a pair of scissors and cut the item from a long tube of material....very un-professional quality all around. Don't waste your money here, there are much better offerings.....I don't understand the high ratings for this poor item.

I have been looking for some sort of face mask/Gaiter for a while -- this one is the best value. It is not the cheapest on the market, but the quality overcomes any cost objection. Great for working outside to prevent a sunburn on neck or ears and it is not difficult to breathe through the gaiter and it does not create a heating effect when you breathe through it.

I really like it. It's a lightweight, stretchable knit fabric that is breathable. I love wearing this to keep my neck warm, even indoors. It's also the perfect headband to hold my hair back and keep the sun off of my forehead. And we really need the UPF 50 in the winter too. I'll definitely buy different colors.

I love this! So colorful and flexible. I wear it as a bandana under a wide-brimmed hat, or as a turban, around my neck, over cheeks and face when I'm on the water. I have them in several different colors. They're great!

Received the item as described in the ad. Haven't use it outdoor yet but it felt good on my hands. try it out indoor, breathe easy.

I ordered this neck gator because I wanted somthing more light weight than my BUFF. This one is great quality, a cool color and cost a lot less than the Buff brand. Ill buy from these guys again.

Just like that other brand more well known, stretchy, goes on easy. Like the UV component. Bought to use in baja for dust protection and sun protection. Can't wait to try it out!
