Great pan to keep on hand with my gear
No complaints other than it didn't come prefabbed with a hookup point for a caribiner. Easy fix though. Hot iron and some sandpaper did the trick. It is a perfect size to not be too bulky, and durable. I'm also very happy that I didn't have to rough up the surface on this one (they usually have a glossy finish, and gold hates that. You want a little roughness for the gold and other heavies to kind of grip to). Definitely love the ridges on it as well. I'm used to trenched riffles, but I think the two ridge lines actually work better maybe? Love it.

green 10" gold pan
Just right for what I needed. A great price for purchasing an individual pan. A little thinner and not quite as rigid compared to other pans I have of this size and style, but all in all, not too bad.

Good, Sturdy Pan
We used this for panning for gold in the San Gabriel Mountains. The pans are great quality, and we were able to find flakes easily. The riffles on the sides enabled us to sort out fine materials over the heaver gold-bearing rocks and flakes. The pans were much larger than I imagined and are a good, thick quality plastic that is sturdy and right for the job. A great tool for beginning gold panners.

Not what was pictured in ad.
The ad shows 3 large riffles on one side of pan, and a set of smaller cleanup riffles on the other side. The pan I received has no riffles, only 3 small ridges on one side. My search continues...

Very happy!
This item arrived yesterday and i quickly put it to use. I am very pleased with it so far. The base is not shallow at all and the channel on the edge helps to quicly remove the debris. It is a hard plastic which in comparison with other that feel like you are panning with wet cardboard is makes a difference. Also the blue color really makesit better to spot gold since green is in the same spectrum as the gold tone. i am very pleased with this transaction.

Good style pan, not so good material/design
Ok I really like this style of pan, especially for finishing. The reason I only gave it 3 stars is that the pan is a little flimsy and it gets a shiny material stuck in it or from the upper layer wearing off. My buddy has the same problem with his. We call them trick pans because the material ingrained in the bottom of the pan can look like gold and doesn't move. Sad when you try to snuffer it up. It is like the coin glued to the sidewalk trick

I don't recommend them for planning large amounts of materials as they ...
I use these pans to put my supercons in after classifying them down to be run on my miller table. I don't recommend them for planning large amounts of materials as they are very flexible. Probably good for test planning or teaching children to plan.

Easy to use for kids.
Great pan for kids. Bigger sizes are too heavy for them. Good price.
