It looks like top notch instrument
Exceptional axe with friendly price tage.It looks like top notch instrument, perfect setup, nice tuners,HEADLESS is the thing.Really hard not to love anything on this guitar, it plays like butter and sounds great for heavier genres (it looks like done for it).Fantastic price indeed. This is the lowest cost guitar I've ever bought, but it comapes nicely to 2-3 times costlier stuff.'nuff said.

the capo was crap I had to adjust it
If you're into heavy music this guitar roars the active controls are versatile, I got this guitar from Sam Ash and they sent me a floor model, the capo was crap I had to adjust it, they sent me the guitar without even checking it out

A great instrument
Once you get your hands in one, it is very difficult to play anything else "as usual". This is an extraordinary instrument that includes an amazing bridge pickup to produce from "almost" acoustic sound to the extreme powerful and defined modern metal 2nd and 1st guitar sounds. The instrument remains tuned no matter what you do or how you play. The sliding capo let you play trans scale up/down the fretboard, again, without the need for tuning.

Steinberger Demon... It does EVERYTHING.
This is a Great all-around guitar. The EMG's produce a nice electric sound, but the Piezo bridge makes it Perfect.I have wanted one of these for a long time... Luckily I saw one on sale and snatched-it-up.These are getting kinda scarce and they might be stopping production, so...I have only owned this guitar for a couple of weeks. And I have only taken it out twice. So... this isn't a long-term review.I play mostly "acoustic" style music (I don't shred). So I mostly play "Clean".I play outside on street corners. And the versatility of this guitar is why I like it.But this guitar will function with any style music. The EMG's will give you the electric scream or crunch or whatever overdriven sound you may desire. But with the turn of the blend knob you can drift over to the full sound of the Piezo. Also, unlike many other guitars with a piezo, you can adjust the tone of the piezo output. Also the Demon has fully "active" high- and low- tone knobs with center-detents. Kinda like a 2 Band EQ.The Pickup "Blend" knob also has "center detent". Plus a 3-way switch for the EMG's NO Coil Tap. (that would have been nice)Because of the Baritone 28" scale with the rolling capo, you can tune this down to "B" if you'd like.I have mine tuned to "D Standard" and capo it a the 2nd fret so it plays like a normal guitar. But I do like to roll the capo back to D on some songs. This guitar is very light and comfortable to play. I got mine "USED" so I had to replace the rolling capo. That was not cheap. I could have just used a regular capo, but I wanted to return the guitar to New condition. This guitar takes Double-Ball "Trans-Scale" strings. It will NOT work with standard double-ball or "Trans-Trem" double-ball strings. So reviews have complained that it is sometime hard to find the correct strings, but this guitar will use Regular guitar strings because of the special head-piece. I have found the correct Trans-Scale strings.. Just stock-up. Plus the strings will last a long time.Anyway... I whole-heartedly recommend this guitar.
